The house is a converted Victorian hospital with high ceilings and modern bathrooms. It is set in a peaceful location 2 miles north of Hereford. The house is set in managed parkland with a lake and a deer park which our house overlooks. We have two rooms listed separately.
This is a safe and peaceful environment with easy access to the city and surrounding villages on the black and white trail. Hereford is renowned for its history, the cathedral and the Mappa Mundi, but has so much more to offer. Its proximity to Hay on Wye and the Brecons mean it is ideal for walkers and cyclists. It is a centre of food innovation and there is a theatre and cinema complex.
Guests have access to the spacious family bathroom with shower and bath and towels and toiletries are supplied. They can access the small TV room upstairs. Breakfast will be served on the patio weather permitting or in the dining room. Guests can gain access to the park through the garden and there is ample parking at the front. Use of washing machine and tumble dryer is available on request.
Having lived in the area for over 25 years we have a wealth of knowledge of the surrounding countryside and all that it offers. We have maps and books for you to borrow.
Breakfast will be served between 8.30a.m. And 10.00a.m. Earlier times possible if requested in advance.
Continental or full English breakfast is included in the price.
Evening meals are available by prior arrangement. I am an accomplished cook and can cook most types of cuisine from around the world.
We expect people to treat the house and the parkland as they would their own. Shoes to be left at the front door or back if they came into the lounge from the garden. In the evening the lounge and kitchen are out of bounds to guests. We will of course respond to requests if you need access urgently.
