The Diamond Bar is a historical site in Béal na Bláth in the country-side of County Cork. The ambush that led to the assassination of the Irish leader Michael Collins was planned in a storehouse situated behind the Diamond Bar. The Michael Collins Memorial is located one mile south of the Diamond Bar. At the grounds of the bar tents and caravans can be pitched and the facilities can be used. Next to the provisional Camping site there is a service station with a shop and a cafe place.
The pub which is close to the camp site has a nice rural feel.
Set up your tent or caravan on our grounds if you like. You can use our public toilette and for a small fee our hot shower.
The owner of the pub can tell you about the history of the Diamond Bar.
Please be aware that the camping grounds are provisional and do not necessarily meet the same standards of official camping sites. Staying at our grounds happens at your own risk.
