A pleasant, double sized room with two single bunk beds located in a townhouse style house in Newhaven.
The house is in a safe, quiet and private residential close, and only a short, ten minute walk from the ferry port, train station and bus routes.
The room is double-sized with a set of comfortable bunk beds for sleeping - ideal for lone travellers, couples or friends! The room also has a cosy rocking chair and wardrobe space.
You will have free, unlimited, Fibre Broadband WIFI in your bedroom and around the rest of the house. We will also supply a towel for your stay.
The house is situated in a private close; generally, only homeowners and their visitors venture down so it is quiet and safe.
The house looks out to views of Newhaven Fort, the sea and cliffs - great if the sun is shining whilst you are having breakfast!
Arrival time is flexible; please let us know of your plans and will do our best to accommodate whatever time you expect to arrive.
The kitchen and breakfast bar are on the middle floor. We will put tea, coffee, cereal and toast out for you to help yourself to in the morning if you wish. You are also welcome to prepare any snacks for the day there.
Please let us know in advance if you will be planning to use the kitchen for an evening meal as I am sure we can work something out if you wish to!
Please keep the kitchen clean and tidy, and leave it how you found it.
You are free to use the bathroom and garden area if you wish, and if you are staying for a few days, we may even have a drink with you in our downstairs, home pub!
I work mornings and am home most afternoons. My wife and son are usually around the house throughout the day. If you have any queries, problems or need any information, just ask and we'll be happy to do our best to help.
Price is based on one person occupancy. If you travelling with somebody, they can stay for just £9 extra!
Please note, if you are a lone traveller, we will respect your privacy and not rent out the other bed during your stay.
- Smoking only allowed in the garden area.
- Please wash up and leave kitchen tidy after use.
- Please remove your shoes upon arrival inside the house.
- We would prefer it if you did not eat or drink (except water) in the bedroom, as previous guests have spilt things on the carpet which we had to clean. You are more than welcome to eat and drink at the dining table or breakfast bar area.
I’m a postman in a neighbouring town called Peacehaven, have been for a few years. Enjoy the active side of the job and being out and about, but my main passion is music.
I began forming an original, rock band called 40 Shillings on the Drum a couple of years ago and finally found all the right people in summer 2017.
Things are going great and UK tours, along with our debut album, are due in 2018.
I write the songs and they are a mix of my own stories, feelings and experiences.
My wife, Sasha, and I married in 2015 and have a 19 month old son called Buddy.
