We are approximately 1 km from the N11 just outside Oylegate village. Both the historic towns of Wexford (Opera festival in October) and Enniscorthy, (1798 rebellion, and most recently famous for the filming of 'Brooklyn'!)are accessible within minutes. Local activities include racing (horses and dogs), hurling ( a national sport of amazing speed and skill),horseriding, mountain biking, surfing, swimming, fishing, golfing and glorious beaches. Other places of interest include the Saltee islands with incredible birdlife and fishing opportunities. Dunbrody famine ship (New Ross), historic gardens , lighthouses (Hook Head) and of course the homestead of the JF Kennedy family, Ross Tapestry -internationally recognised but produced by volunteers within the area. Excellent pubs and eateries! Many of the pubs in both Enniscorthy and Wexford have live music nights. As you can see there is much to explore and enjoy all within easy reach.
Extreme caution and parent supervision is essential for children due to close proximity of the apartment to a stream and river
Smoking is permitted outside
Lively and energetic,Bob and I are happy meeting new people whilst enjoying a busy life with a large garden and grounds to be maintained. Although we live in a secluded place we are within striking distance of both Enniscorthy & Wexford where we can enjoy golf, bridge clubs, many different types of musical events and a large variety of walking experiences - seaside, hills or riversides. We like to recall some of our favourite places that our guests might enjoy locally and maybe share some of our secret places off the beaten track.
