The house is close to V&A Waterfront...Sea Point Promenade and Pavilion swimming baths...Green Point Park...Metropolitan Golf Course...Cape Town City...Camps Bay, Clifton and beaches. You’ll love it because of the big, sweeping views, the sunlight, the garden, the relatively wind free position, the closeness to vibrant restaurants and entertainment and the easy access to beaches and wine lands. It is good for couples, business travelers, and families (with older kids). Cleaned twice weekly.
The Airbnb accommodation is a double-storey house – the separate apartment above is excluded. The house is situated high up on the hillside overlooking the green stretches of Green Point Park and the Metropolitan Golf Course, as well as Table Bay. The stadium view is far to the side. When other popular Atlantic Seaboard suburbs catch the south east wind in summer, Green Point is mostly sheltered. The swimming pool is a good size...lovely and warm in the summer months. Surrounded by greenery, it feels like swimming in a forest glade. The terrace is delightful for your morning breakfasts with big sea views and is extra special in the evenings when the colours change over the ocean and across the sky. As the sunlight fades, night lights come on near and far and across the bay. The views, with Robben Island straight ahead, are ever changing, with small boats to passenger liners up and down. Every now and then you might see a paraglider floating down from the top of Signal Hill. For your security the house has a burglar alarm with armed response and burglar bars on the windows. The cable television is South African DSTV with multiple channels. The laptop friendly workspace is a dining table.
As mentioned in the rules, the neighbour's garden next door is out of bounds and the pool area is for swimming only. However, you have plenty of space in the garden and on three terraces to relax, enjoy the sunshine and braai/barbeque. Within the house, you have two levels: the bedrooms/bathrooms are upstairs: the open plan kitchen/living area opening to the main terrace is downstairs, as well as the guest cloakroom. The house is fully equipped and has a separate laundry, off the kitchen, with an extra large double sink, washing machine, dish washer and tumble dryer. The nature of the property is sloped (hence the big views) and guests should be able to manage the stairs to the different levels. The double garage is ideal for sedan cars, SUVs will pose a height problem. Included are two unsecured off street parking bays in front of your garage for your use.
I'll be in Cape Town or relatively close by during your stay and you are most welcome to call me should you need any help regarding the house or advice about the areas in and around Cape Town. I have lived in Green Point most of my life and have a comprehensive knowledge of the area. When you arrive my husband and I will help you in with your luggage and settle you into the house.
The property is cleaned twice a week and on leaving.
The garden/ pool area is terraced and we recommend that very young children be supervised.
The unfenced pool area is shared by one other couple and yourselves (no additional guests are allowed). You are requested to keep noise levels to a minimum in that area.
No boisterous games are allowed in the pool area, including jumping/diving into the pool from the upper terrace.
Entertaining/braaiing/barbequeing is permitted on the upper terraces and not at the pool area.
The spacious garden is solely for your use and flows into the neighbour’s garden, which is out of bounds.
You may invite guests onto the property with gatherings of no more than 12 people.
Please be considerate to the neighbours and keep noise levels down after 10pm.
Please do not park in front of the neighbouring garage.
The burglar alarm must be activated when leaving the property.
We would appreciate your being respectful of the property at all times.

Things that I enjoy: Friends and family; an organised household; gardening; walking in the forest or beside the seaside; light heartedness and fun; going out and about; travelling.
Things that I cannot live without: My family and friends; honesty and high values; exercise; work ; travel
My favourite travel destinations are generally to cooler places in South Africa and overseas. I enjoy reading historical novels, watching non violent movies, dancing shows, ice shows and good plays. I listen to light music, rock 'n roll, classical music, jazz and bandstand. Seafood is my best.
Travelling and exploring by car and by foot in South Africa and overseas is great for me. As a host I'd like to help you with local information, make sure that the accommodation that I provide for you is spotless and serviced during your stay and that I am local and available for you should you have any questions or requirements.
I enjoy treating others with kindness and respect and hope to receive the same in return.
