Spend some relaxing time in
A cozy little cabin on a dead end road,
Surrounded by apple orchards, small pond,
Inviting paths for walks in the woods.
Perfect for a quiet, artistic retreat for one person. Writers, artists, meditators, this is a perfect spot for anyone who is looking for a quiet place to commune with Nature.
- Thoughtful, quiet and respectful of our place
-We love cats, but our neighbors' dog likes to chase them. So we recommend bringing only indoor cats. An outdoor cat probably wouldn't feel safe here.

We are a retired married couple living in beautiful rural Western Massachusetts in a comfortable little sunlit 3-bedroom home on a southern hillside overlooking a lovely apple orchard. This is a bird-watchers' paradise and we love feeding and watching the birds. We very much appreciate living here not only because of the beauty, peace, quiet and expansiveness of Nature surrounding us, but also because of our wonderful caring neighbors. One next-door-neighbor, Gayle Kabaker and her husband Peter Kitchell, also maintain very desirable airbnb accommodations; another neighbor, Redgate Educational Farm owned and run by Ben and Amy Murray---Cf. provide wonderful farm experiences for city children.
Jerry and I have always wanted to share this beautiful retreat
from the hustle and bustle of city life, and would warmly welcome anyone who shares our love for peace and quiet and pursuit of a spiritual path (and you can also have other interests, like snow-shoeing or sledding which can be done right here, or cross-country or downhill skiing which you can find not too far from here!)
Jerry and I both meditate together daily, participate in several meditation groups in the area, read a lot in winter (after shoveling snow!) with interest mainly in all religious traditions and how to bring about greater co-operation for a better world, participate in Senior Center activities in near-by Shelburne Falls (French conversation, African Drumming, visiting older homebound seniors, etc.) We also hold membership in two local food co-ops and our local Co-op Power org.
We would welcome you to freely use our kitchen and living room/dining areas, preparing your meals as you wish;. There is a 1/2 bath on one side of the kitchen, and a full bathroom which you would share with us, on the other side of the kitchen. We also have a half bath for our private use off our bedroom upstairs. Our aim is to make you feel like you are staying with old friends who want you to feel right at home and able to come and go as you please or hang around and just enjoy what Mother Nature has to offer here...with perhaps some interesting conversations now and then! Come share this peace and beauty with us!
