Our Homestay is a beautiful boutique holiday home located in the heart of the Kuttanad, Kerala, India. It is also close to all the tourist destinations of Alappuzha. So you get the best of village comforts and tourist holiday delights here. This Regale Homestay is a mix of modern and traditional. The exterior is minimalist and functional with a village smart look. On the inside the décor of the homestay is a mix of classic modern style and traditional style. Kanjiram woodwork can be seen on the wooden floor and walnut furniture. The bathrooms are modern with world class Kohler fittings. All bedrooms have a king-sized bed, a seating area, LCD television, a mini-bar and an illuminated vanity mirror. This homestay offers 24 hr room service. Housekeeping is done twice daily. You will be served by ever charming and friendly staff.

Our Homestay is situated on the banks of the holy river Pamba. The Pamba River is the most beautiful and third longest river in the South Indian state of Kerala. The Backwater Villa is situated in the heart of Kuttanad. It has beautiful, spacious and ventilated bedrooms with attached bathrooms, having all modern amenities. The privacy of the guests is guaranteed. We have a guide and a cook to ensure better service to our guests.

The Homestay holds a couple of rooms complete with original wood architecture and fixtures intact, retaining their original grandeur with river facing verandas. This villa stands calm and serene on the bank of the river Pampa, laced with coconut trees on either side. With its exotic river front location, green paddy fields at the backyard,natural swimming pond,fish pond,modernized rooms and the delightful mood of a family atmosphere and delicious home made food, Backwater Villa is an ideal retreat into the soothing lap of nature and a prefect getaway from the din and bustle of everyday life.

Nedumudi is a village in Alappuzha district in the Indian state of Kerala.[1] It is the birthplace of malayalam actor Nedumudi Venu.Nedumudi sits in the banks of river Pampa. It is the First village in Kerala to attain 100% Literacy.

Climate

Nedumudi is part of lower Kuttanadu. It experience moderate climate,though in Autumn the pampa river overflows and creates trouble, this flooding makes the soil rich and useful for Agriculture, the main Economical source in Nedumudi. But in 2010 due to the unexpected climate change the chance of an other agricultural season is getting impossible. The main celebration in the village is the annual festival of the Sree bhagavathy temple, kottaram. It is situated in the Attuvathala. The festival is conducted by the four karas (sub divisions) of the nedumudi and the temple devaswom. Earlier the Thottuvathala karayagom has a snake boat Parthasarathy. This snake boat won Nehru Trophy in 1955, 1965, 1968. Now it is owned by Thottackad family, Nedumudy.

I am Mathew pothen, Lived in Austria during 1996 and came back to Kerala for doing the business in Changanacherry which is just 20 Km away from my property. I traveled in Various places in the world so i Like to host new people from various culture. I run this property and i will be here in this property when guests check in.
