Halfway Inn apartments are a great place to stay if you choose Mellieha. The location is just perfect, it really is halfway from the bay to the Mellieha heights with the majestic church of Our Lady of Mellieha, so you can easily walk down to the bay to get to the beach or you can do some little climbing up the hill to get to the upper town. Also the bus stop is right by the building ( but keep in mind that the line going directly to/from airport does not stop at the nearest bus stop). This was not a problem though because Joe was a super helpful host, he picked me up from the bus stop at the bay at my arrival and gave me a lift there when I was leaving. Joe was also always available and reacting to any problems, questions or requests immediately. The apartment itself is new, in fact the building on the upper floors is still under construction so there was a little noise and a little dirt but nothing too bothering really. The apartment is spacious, well equipped, with great view from the terrace both to the hill with the church and to the bay. There is a restaurant One80 at the ground floor of the building so if you're feeling really lazy to go anywhere you can just pop downstairs for dinner. A lot of other restaurants are in walking distance, as well as groceries and green groceries (more of them in the upper town of Mellieha, with pharmacy too). I had a good and comfortable stay, I think the Halfway Inn is highly recommended for holidays and Joseph is a very helpful host.
