My place is onThe Golf Course, Restaurants and dining, Clubhouse Facilities, family-friendly activities, nightlife. You’ll love my place because of the views, the location, and the people. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers.
I think what makes our bnb unique is that Ballyneety has much to offer tourists, sightseers, golfers , and those that just want to relax. There is a plethora of amenities on the doorstep.
A very warm welcome to all golfers and non-golfers alike. Ballyneety really has everything! With Limerick City only 6km away (10 mins in a taxi) it really has the best of both country life and city sights to offer.
We also have the beautiful lake and tourist attraction of Lough Gur just a few kilometres down the road. Lough Gur is steeped in Irish ancestral history, combining the outdoor lake and hill walking activities, with the indoor cinematic experience and both give a wonderful historical glimpse of what life was like for our Irish ancestors in Neolithic times.
With an 18 hole golf course on tap, the Glen really is a golfers haven. For those of you who see yourself as golf enthusiasts on a mission to perfect that all important swing, the Donal McSweeney Golf academy and driving range are readily available to teach you anything you need to know about improving your game For those of you who love to golf but tire easily, two and four seater golf buggies are available for hire at the clubhouse.
For those who like the fine dining experience, Ballyneety Golf Course offers a range of fine food and wines in a spectacular setting at 'Vines' restaurant. Vines offer a wide range of International European cuisine. For those with an adventurous palate see Johnny! Because of its renowned reputation and popularity in the area bookings must be made in advance, particularly for weekend nights.
For guests that want to relax and take in the ambience of their surroundings, time can be spent lounging on the beautiful clubhouse deck, gazing at the spectacular views of the course and surrounding countryside. Many guests have found the local bar (The Stroller) to be a very irish experience having chosen to engage in conversations with our local publican Matt, who might even take you to a hurling match, if you get chatting with him. There is also a fabulous pub down the road in Drombanna, The 'Four Elms'is well worth a visit. Extensively decorated with many antique artefacts adorning the walls. This is a charming pub run by the local Fitzpatrick family, who I might add are extremely musical and live music is on the cards most Saturday nights and Sunday's.
So whether it's a golfing haven, Irish village set dancing, or city shopping (10 mins away), Ballyneety really has it all!
