This is an adventure booking. Come sleep under the stars on a 45 foot catamaran yacht at sea. You can choose from a queen size bed inside, the trampolines, or one of the cozy private berths. You will have your own personal kayak to explore & commute.
This is a $120 per person booking.
The catamaran is on a mooring located in the middle of Sugar Beach just off shore, not in a marina. The boat will stay attached to it's mooring during your stay. Sunsets on board are fabulous.......
Feel free to fish, snorkel & SCUBA dive off the boat. If you catch papio or lobster, you will be king.
Breakfast is included........
Check out my other listing called "Glamping Under the a Stars #2" for open dates in the calendar.......
I require a .... 2 .... night minimum stay, unless there is a single night available between other bookings.
We currently have space for 6 people & more on special occasions. I tend to have only 2 or 3 guest aboard. Kids are welcome if they have some common sense.
We are currently restoring the boat for local keiki moana education, and sailing programs. So come enjoy your Maui vacation on the moana & support future ocean education programs.
This is a eco-friendly yacht. Please don't bring non-biodegradable sunscreen to the yacht. It's toxic to the ocean & to you, & makes the boat greasy. Bring long-sleeve white shirts & pants, or the like. I know, it's rocket science.
You will have your own kayak to explore & commute to & from the catamaran. As well as a lifejacket, dry bag, headlamp, and waterproof Pelican case for your phone. You also have use of the common areas for eating and lounging, as well as Gilligan's Galley/kitchen that is well equipped with a propane stove & grill, plus pots & pans, & a French coffee press. There is a large cooler on board to keep your food & drinks cold. You can also charge your computers & phones on board using USB &/or 120 volt sine wave house type power. There is great phone reception out where we are as well.
There is plenty of free parking on shore where the kayaks are kept.
We have mattresses & plenty of soft warm blankets for your stay. If you need/want white sheets, wine, cheese, or mints..........bring them in the handy dry bags we provide.
You will not need to bring out drinking water. We have plenty of cold Brita filtered water in the cooler.
We do provide towels, wash clothes, & biodegradable soap for your stay. There is a freshwater rinsing station out back.
You will also have your own snorkel set to use your entire stay.
There is extensive coral reefs, a shipwreck and a World War II Helldiver bomber wreck very nearby for you to explore.
The north shore is where most the waves are. Where I am in Ma'alaea bay, is protected & usually flat calm in the mornings & manageable trade winds in the afternoon. This is one major reason the whales come here to have their young.
The kayaks are sit-on-top kayaks making them quite safe. Kayaking here can be challenging at times, but most love it & enjoy the challenges. One of our kayaks is very wide and stable, and can take a lot of gear. So feel free to bring whatever gear you wish aboard. But it is far easier to bring only what you really need.
If you bring a ton of gear &/or food, expect to make more then one trip to get it all aboard. I will help you, but I am not your Himalayan Sherpa, unless you bring really good carrots.
Some nights I'm on board to maintain the catamaran. The boat is a open floor plan, a bit like a hostel. Most days you would have the yacht to your self.
If you wish to have the yacht with no other guest aboard, and I don't already have other guest booked. You can have that privilege if you book your stay for 4 guest. But you must book it for 4 before I will block other bookings. I will likely be aboard in my private berth in the front of the yacht.
This is an adventure booking. The waters are not always flat calm, and coming in at night can be challenging at times. If you don't wish to exercise on your vacation, this is not the booking for you.
The Golden Rule...... . No cigarette smoking on the boat. No roof access if you start drinking. No swimming after dark and/or drinking. No pets other then parrots. No aerosol sunscreen .... No campfires. No chainsaws. This is a boat on the ocean, so common sense is key.
This is a eco-friendly yacht. Please don't bring sunscreen to the yacht. It's toxic to the ocean & to you, & makes the boat greasy. Bring long-sleeve white shirts, or the like. I know, it's rocket science.
