Stay here & relax or enjoy the Nicolet Nat'l Forest, Spread Eagle Chain of Lakes or ski nearby! Plenty of hunting and fishing opportunities in surrounding area. ATV and snowmobile trails right out the door!

SPRING & SUMMER USERS: Hike, fish, bike, relax! The lake just out your door and down the hill has bluegills, crappies, bass and northerns. It is also a lot of fun to swim and snorkel. The Menomonie River (public boat ramp 5 miles away) and the Spread Eagle Chain (public boat ramp 3 miles away) support all water sports as well as endless fishing opportunities. Many other beautiful lakes nearby as well as rivers (wonderful tubing on the Pine and Menominee rivers). The Nicolet Nat'l Forest has many miles of hiking and biking trails. LaSalle Falls is a must see! See our Guide Book in this site

ATV? UTV? Out your door (N. Montgomery Lake Rd.) is a designated ATV/UTV route and access to the Blue Ox Trail System.

HUNTERS - Thousands of acres of public land (Nicolet Nat'l Forest, Spread Eagle Barrens, County lands) in Florence County open to hunting. Excellent deer hunting! Deer gun and bow hunting weekends still available (including opening weekend of deer season).

WINTER USERS - CONTACT US IN ADVANCE TO SCHEDULE YOUR VISIT!

SKIERS/SNOWBOARDERS - 3 ski hills within 30 mins (Pine Mountain, Keyes Lake and Ski Brule) and others within striking distance in the UP (Marquette Mountain, Blackjack, Porcupine Mountain, Powderhorn, and Indianhead). XC ski the 9 mile groomed Lauterman Trial in the Nicolet NF only 15 minutes away. Other trails nearby (Lake Emily, Whisker Lake Wilderness Area, etc.).

SNOWMOBILERS - N. Montgomery Lake Road is a designated snowmobile route and provides access to 180 miles of groomed trails. Many more - only 7 miles to Michigan!

ICE FISHERMAN- 23 acre Lake Montgomery is right down the hill out the door (panfish, northerns, bass). 106 other lakes in Florence County to explore!

I love all things outdoors and hope to inspire others to experience the wonders of northeastern Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
There are endless north woods opportunities here. See my guidebook here for suggestions. Our cabin is simple and no fuss, the way we live. But just ask, and we can help you with fine dining, craft breweries, fun shopping, etc. Lakes, rivers big and small, backroads and trails await you. Let us be your north woods home.

We have lived in the area for over 30 years and can help you organize your needs/wants for your 'up north' experience. Be it hunting, fishing, summer sports, winter sports, finding wilderness, exploring the area's mining history, etc. we can help out. However, you are welcome to enjoy your private grounds all on your own, just the way you want to.

Our home is nearby and we will make additional arrangements with you if we plan to be out of the area.
