Damien‘s apartment is a nice apartment, with two good bedrooms, two bathrooms and a good living room with balcony. It has interesting art (though our son was a bit scared of the mexican inspired skull dolls) and a really comfortable sofa that is good to relax in. If you like to stay in and cook it has the necessary equipment for that as well (we didn‘t cook though). We unfortunately encountered numerous issues while staying there for 3 nights. Our experience would probably been better with better communication and if Damien would have continued answering his messages instead of relying too much on the company he uses so guests have a contact person when he‘s not available. Here below I‘ll list what we encountered and how it was resolved. On arrival, around 23:30, we were greeted with bad smell since the fridge and freezer were thawed out. This was due to a large part of the apartment being without electricity (no lights in the ceilings and only a couple of lamps working) which nobody had checked before our arrival. What was worse was that there was no hot water in the shower so we couldn‘t take a shower after a long day of traveling. We both messaged Damien via Airbnb and called a number he gave to let know of these issues. Our call was answered by a company he lists called Airsorted and they said somebody would contact us the day after. We did receive a message from Damien after putting the kids to bed and before going to bed ourselves about checking the electrity table which we had found just a couple of minutes earlier after looking for quite a while before seeing his message. The day after we received a phonecall from Airsorted telling us the maintainance company would show up and fix the hot water issue. When we arrived back at the apartment, needing a shower after a long day out which ended in a London downpour we found that the hot water issue had not been fixed and nobody had told us about it. We sent a message to Damien and told him that our patience was wearing thin regarding this issue. We didn‘t hear more from him after that message. On our third day we again received a call from Airsorted that said the maintainace company would show up and fix the hot water issue in the afternoon. We hadn‘t shower at that time so we had to make changes to our plans so we all could take a shower which was a major inconvenience. Around 4 or 5 pm we received another phonecall from Airsorted which asked if we were still out and if the maintainance company could come and fix the issue. When we arrived later that evening that issue was fixed and we finally could take a shower. The flat is potentially great and in a good location. Unfortunately for us on arrival we found it hadn't been cleaned at all and we were greeted by a pile of dirty towels : not a welcome sight when it was 27 degrees and we were hot and sticky! Would recommend Broadway Market just a few minutes walk away along the canal for great vibe, food and drinks . It fills with a terrific food market on Saturdays with wonderful delights on offer.

My whole family stayed at Damien's place for a long weekend. The flat is very conveniently located close to Regents canal and within walking distance to many pubs and restaurants. Overground and Underground stations are also nearby. We really enjoyed our stay, highly recommend!

Brilliant apartment in a fantastic part of East London. Beautiful walks along the canal to Broadway Market, short walk to Columbia Road flower market. Brick Lane and Shoreditch all easily reachable. Really clean and comfortable, a great place.

We enjoyed our stay at Damien's apartment in East London! The area is trending with a new industrial/residential feel, but was convenient to get into Central London via public transportation. Thanks again Damien!

My home's area in East London has got an appealing vibe and there is an authenticity about the location that I have always loved. Whether it's good coffee & food, cool bars, markets or parks it is all a short walk away.
