Our home is close to Virginia Tech, public transportation (BT), town park, the Moss Fine Arts Center, grocery stores, and shopping. You’ll enjoy extra space to relax and a quiet neighborhood. We think our home (you have the downstairs) is an especially good fit for families with kids or a group of friends. Go Hokies!
All the finished downstairs is available, including 16'x27 ' carpeted family room with fireplace, TV, and couches (one pull-out couch), two bedrooms and private full bath. We replaced all windows and doors in 2016 and have updated bedrooms with new carpet and paint. Our home is adjacent to the park which makes a great place for gatherings or tailgating.
You will have access to the downstairs through a private back entrance.
We want to respect your desire for contact, whether you prefer to interact and visit often, or navigate on your own. We have lived here 25 years and hosted hundreds of guests, though we are newer to Airbnb.
We may or may not be home during all of your stay. We have a busy 14-year-old at home and are often enjoying family activities together.
- no loud parties
-Please treat us and our home with the same respect you would wish for yourselves.
Our family has lived in Blacksburg over 25 years. We love the feel of a small college town, yet with so much to offer - mountains, hiking, biking, great music, vineyards, and less than an hour to explore the city of Roanoke. Steve and I love people so it seemed a natural fit as our three older children have moved out to use our space to its fullest. I have been a social worker, teacher, and full-time mom. Steve is on staff with Young Life and coaches track at the local high school. We hope you will come and enjoy Blacksburg with us!
