Great indoor / outdoor living in a superb location 1 block from Whole Foods and Rose Avenue, the new “place to shop, eat and have fun” in Venice. All Utilities, WiFi, Linens & Towels, and Parking are included in the rental.


New, modern and quiet, 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom guest bungalow in Venice. Cement floors, open plan kitchen, living area with double doors to enclosed patio with additional seating and table for outdoor dining. There's a chair and TV in the living room and two bar stools at the kitchen counter. Fully-equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances - refrigerator, convection oven, 6 burner stove and built-in microwave.

The bedroom has a Full-size bed, plus a blue sofa that converts to full-size bed, extra storage, TV and Air Conditioning. There's a closet with full-size washing machine & dryer. The bathroom has large glass shower and pedestal sink. A door from the bedroom leads outside. The property is completely perimeter fenced with private outdoor area and lounge chairs, lush foliage, driveway gate and secure space for 1 car.

Great location 1 block from Whole Foods and Rose Avenue, the new “place to shop, eat and have fun” in Venice.

There are two properties on the lot - a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home at the front of the property (accessed from Flower Ave) and this guest cottage in the back with its own separate access via the public alley. There are no shared or communal space or grounds, each has its own patio and outdoor area. Both are completely private and separate from each other. Book together to accommodate up to 8 guests, or separately. The main house can be seen here in my listings, (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN).

All Utilities, WiFi, Linens & Towels, and Parking are included in the rental.

The apartment is very clean and a perfect amount of space for 1-2 people. My only concern was walking home by myself in the alley way later in the evening. Parts of Venice now have a high homeless population, and while harmless, there were a few people sleeping in the alley near the entrance consistently.

The place is very quaint and definitely has it's own personality and charm. The garden area is pleasing, as is the outside patio/dining area. The kitchen is perfect and the information about the area, shops, restaurants, etc. came in very handy. The space is great, especially for a couple, and the washer/dryer made it nice to know we didn't have to pack 8 days worth of clothes. The bathroom is a bit small, but definitely not uncomfortable. And having the parking space inside the gated area was awesome! Only real downside is the location...access from an alley with frequent homeless visitors and typical alley-way noise overnight and in the mornings (close windows and use the AC overnight). Also, the garden area is not completely separate from the main house patio...there are some plants to hinder passageway, but there is full sight of the house from the garden area, and they share trash receptacles located in the parking area. It was a bargain for the price!

Positive: The property is in a great Venice location walking distance from Rose, Venice beach and Abbott Kinney. There are loads of great eateries and bars to choose from and a whole foods a block away. The property is clean, well equipped and Cheryl was a helpful host. The outside space is a plus with outdoor earing area and sun beds. Downside: The property is behind the main house and must be accessed via Rose Court a relatively shady back alley. As the bedroom/front door is right on the alley, it did get noisy late at night as trash bins are frequently being filled by the restaurant across the ally, by vans stopping to dump trash and by occasional scavengers going through the bins for recycled bottles and food. Inside living area is quite limited and reliant on outdoor living space- no problem if you're only there for a short stay, out on the move the whole time or prefer to be outdoors. Limited if like us, you're staying for longer. All in all good property for the Venice location and for the price. Ideal for short stay, but consider the location at the back of the main house if you are on foot or a light sleeper.

This was a cute place and it was nice to have free parking. It was a little tricky to find and hard to place a take out order because the main house owned the address, however, it was nice. You drive down an alley that looks a little sketchy but we had no problems.

This guest house was a comfortable place to stay for several days during a business trip. The location puts you in easy walking distance to the shops and restaurants along Rose Avenue, and the gated parking spot was especially convenient. The guest house is well-maintained and very clean, and having a proper kitchen set up was an added bonus. The indoor living space is limited, but in nice weather, you can keep the French doors open and the courtyard/entry area serves as a great dining, working or relaxing space.
