Brighton is a seaside suburb situated about 8 kilometers south of the centre of Melbourne.
A sunny front room only with a queen size bed and comfortable chairs and table, ample cupboards, television and Wi-Fi; as well, a bar fridge and bedside reading lamp; cooling (ceiling fan) and heating. The ensuite has a shower toilet and hand basin.
The room overlooks a front courtyard from which there is a view of the sea and access to the room is from this courtyard. Guests are more than welcome to use this space.
Owners live in a separate part of the same unit and are on hand to give any assistance.
We do not provide breakfast but there are tea/coffee making facilities in the room and a bayside café 50 metres away which is open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and serves breakfast and lunch
The neighbourhood is known as the Golden Mile for its fine properties and leafy streets.
Two doors from the unit there is a beautiful waterfront promenade extending 15 kilometers and more in each direction. There are sea baths one kilometer away, a yacht club, two marinas and bustling St. Kilda is 3 kilometers away along this path.
A car would be a decided advantage however there is a bus 75 meters away which goes to St. Kilda light rail and trams which take one to the city centre of Melbourne, and in the other direction to local shopping centres in Brighton and on to a very large regional shopping centre at Southland Cheltenham. There are also trains, about a 20 minute walk away, which go directly to the city centre.
The Beach Studio would ideally suit a business person in Melbourne for work or a couple visiting from country Victoria or interstate or overseas. Likewise suitable for locals who have family members visiting from distant places. It would be of particular interest to people who enjoy jogging/walking along a waterfront or just living near the water seeing what it offers not the least beautiful sunsets.
