This one-bedroom apartment is located in a quiet village of Prcanj, about 8 kilometres from the charming old town of Kotor. The apartment is located up a very steep hill, off a narrow, winding road. We got lost trying to find the meeting point - Montenegro does not seem to use exact addresses- but an assistant of Anka the property manager, came to find us and took us to the apartment. The smallish apartment is clean, new and modern, with everything you need. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was good. The view from the balcony across the Bay of Kotor is one of the best I have seen and was marvellous for us every morning and magical in the evening showing the sparkling lights from Kotor across the water. A bus runs into Kotor once an hour, around 30 minutes past; there are no bus stops, you just put your hand out to ask the bus to stop. It costs 1 euro per person. The bus leaves Kotor near the main gate on the hour. We were glad we used the bus as the narrow road into Kotor is quite stressful to drive on in a rental car. There are some very good restaurants in Prcanj if you don't want to eat in Kotor - particularly Mademoiselle, located about 5 mins walk from the apartment turning right from the bottom of the hill. There is a little supermarket (Market DADO) also on the right just past the bottom of the hill where you can get essentials. Bread is located behind the counter, just ask for it as you won't see it displayed. They don't take credit cards - Euros only. Kotor is a very interesting old town and definitely worth doing a walking tour. St Tryphon's Cathedral in town is magnificent. My husband did a rafting trip on the Tara River and loved that. We also drove to Perast (the road widens up after Kotor) and that is absolutely worth going to - another lovely town, and you can do a quick trip out to the Lady of the Rocks Island too. We very much enjoyed our stay.
