The Pear Tree House is located in the Fresno/Clovis area in the heart of the San Joaquin Valley in California. It is the perfect home base to get out and explore the countryside and National Parks. We are 90 miles south from Yosemite and 90 miles west from Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks.
This house is located in a residential neighborhood that is clean, quiet, and safe. Several grocery stores, restaurants, gas stations, banks, and more are all within a 5-minute drive. Also, the Pear Tree House is only 1 mile from Highway 168 and our award winning Clovis Community Medical Center.

The entire house is for your use and enjoyment, including the spacious fenced backyard with large sitting area.
The only restricted area will be the garage.
Internet and WiFi access is available and the code will be provided when you arrive.
At your arrival, we would truly enjoy to greet you and show you the features of the home. Please contact us with your estimated time of arrival so we can make arrangements to be there. However, if you are arriving late the home is equipped with a keyless entry for your convenience.
If you need assistance or have questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are available by phone, text, or email. We live less than 10 minutes away and can be there quickly to take care of any unforeseen equipment failures or emergency problems.
If we are planning to not be in town when you are staying at The Pear Tree House, you will be informed prior to arrival. We will make arrangements with others to help with your needs. We have lots of family and friends in the area and you will be well taken care of. However, we do ask that you do not disturb the neighbors with your needs. Thank you in advance.
This is a pet loving neighborhood. You will see families walking their dogs. The next door neighbors have sweet dogs that will bark from time to time when they hear people in the backyard…especially other dogs. Generally nothing excessive but have been heard on occasion.
CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT: Check-in is at 4pm and check-out is by 11am. Need to arrive earlier or need extra time in the morning? This should be fine, but please check with us first. Late check-in is also not a problem with the keyless entry.
CLEANING: Prior to each guests’ arrival we will do a thorough professional cleaning of the house. We kindly ask that before you depart, you clean and put away any dishes or kitchenware used.
ENERGY CONSERVATION: We use home automation to enhance our ability to conserve energy. If the temperature in the home is not to your comfort, please do not hesitate to contact us so we can make any necessary adjustments. We also ask that you turn off all electronics and lights when not in use.
WATER CONSERVATION: The California drought has had a significant impact on our beautiful state. Please help us conserve water by turning off water when not in use and limiting the length of your shower times. Mother Nature thanks you too!
QUIET HOURS: The Pear Tree House is located in a nice, quiet neighborhood. Please limit loud and excessive noise or music within the house and please no loud outside noise after 10:00 pm.
SMOKING: This is a family friendly home. Smoking inside the home is strictly prohibited. However, you are welcome to smoke a cigarette or cigar in the backyard. Please make sure doors and windows are closed before lighting up and disposal of either is made in the outside trash bin.
PETS: Your pet traveling with you should be no problem…but please ask us first before booking. We will send you the full pet policy prior to booking. We will ask that if your pet poops, you then scoop. And please no pets on furniture or bedding. An "extra person fee" per pet will be charged. Max 2 pets.
MONTHLY ALLOWANCES: For our long-term guests, the pricing of the home will include the utilities with the following allowances.
> Electric/Gas - $200
> City Utilities (Water/Sewage/Trash) - $90
> Internet data plans will be limited to at least 600GB per month
Any expenses exceeding the stated allowances will be your responsibility and charged back to you. A copy of the bill will be furnished for your records.

We are a local family living in Clovis, California. Sharon is a teacher for special education students and Jack works as an IT manager for a local hospital system. Sharon is a life-long Fresno area resident and knows all the hidden gems to see, visit, and dine. Jack was born in La Rochelle, France. He then moved with his family and lived in places like Germany, Ohio, Georgia, and New York City. Some of our favorite activities are DIY projects, traveling, and photography. Currently, we are trying our hands at grape growing and hopefully…wine making.
