I first went to Sennen Cove many years ago as a teenager, spent my honeymoon there and then every year returned in the summer to camp with our growing family. We all love Sennen, and it is a very special place for us.
We have owned Curlew since 1999 and it is a real home from home for the family. From 2000 to 2007 we took holiday bookings during the summer and used it ourselves the rest of the time. We always received very positive comments from guests about the accommodation and location, with some returning to us year after year. From 2008 onwards our eldest son has lived in Curlew but at the start of 2017 he moved into his own home with his young family. We are now taking holiday bookings again, and this is our first year of listing Curlew on Airbnb.
Sennen Cove has two fabulous beaches (Gwynver is dog friendly), great surf, pubs, restaurants and wonderful coastal paths. There is so much to see and do in this stunning area of west Cornwall - walk along the cliffs to Land's End or Cape Cornwall, see an evening performance at the Minack Theatre set on the cliff top at Porthcurno (bring a picnic, bottle of wine and a blanket), visit Levant Mine (Poldark country), take a day trip by air or sea to the beautiful Isles of Scilly, cross the causeway at Marazion to St Michael's Mount, visit the Tate St Ives Gallery or just sit and enjoy a pasty and ice cream overlooking the harbour in Mousehole. And don't forget to sample a delicious cream tea at some point!
