Manuela's house is a sweet gem in Milan. We stayed there during the exciting Design Week (Salone Del Mobile) and we basically just walked everywhere from there.
The house is recently refurbished with a brand new kitchen (with everything you need) and bathroom that looks like a proper hotel with massive shower. Big bed is on the second floor with plenty of storage and hangers. There was a washing machine with all products and ironing board to keep our clothes looking (and smelling good). It's the first door on the ground level which gave us easy access with our suitcases. Manuela left us a Chianti wine bottle on the table which was a very welcoming touch.
The location is in the lively and well located Chinatown, (where I use to live 10 years ago) and I can only confirm the neighbourhood is amazing and well located: full of shops, restaurants, walking distance to the park and close to Metro moscova or the trams that take you to the center.
Quick local tips: breakfast at caffe Otto (via Paolo Sarpi, 8), lunch at Pupurry (literally down the road from Manuela's house), aperitivo and dinner anywhere around corso como/moscova/Brera (walking distance) and late drinks at Cantine Isola (Via Paolo sarpi, 30).
Manuela was really helpful at all times including a midnight incident with the heat alarm, she answered immediately and we solved it quickly.
I definitely recommend staying at her cozy flat and enjoy Milan to the fullest!
