There is a lot to like about this flat. It is huge - lots and lots of space. There's plenty of kitchen equipment (though not all of it in good condition) and an induction stove. The living room is nice, has big windows and an equally big wooden balcony in front of it, with a view of the fjord. There's a garden children can play in. A supermarket is nearby. And finally, the location is ideal as a base for exploring the Lofoten in all directions, without letting the driving times get out of hand.
There are also a number of things which, unfortunately, are not quite as great. There are two bathrooms, in theory, but one had ankle-deep murky water of uncertain age sitting in the shower/bathtub because the drain was blocked. There's an OK bedroom if you want to sleep in the basement (next to the unusable bathroom), but the other bedroom, on street level, is completely unadorned, has cables protuding from the wall and hanging from the ceiling - it is not unsafe but looks like a construction site. All doors are missing from the cupboard there. No wifi there, either (but everywhere else).
So it's a mixed bag, but to be fair, we need to factor in the price, too. We have stayed in this place during the peak holiday season, when everything was booked to the limit, and have seen other people offer "apartments" in stationary caravans for the same amount of money we paid for this flat. With that in mind, it's not been perfect, but perfectly fine for us.
