WHATEVER YOU DO- do not stay here!!!!!
It all started out great. Annirita met us at the apartment and was very friendly, then things took a turn for the absolute worst...
we were out exploring Florence for a few hours, and when we returned home, the door to the apartment was locked. We used the key to enter, and when we got there, we found the apartment had been robbed, and our belongings strewn across the place and missing. I should note that once the door is closed from the outside, you cannot get in without the key. When we tried to get ahold of Annirita (Frederik's wife... we never actually met or saw Frederick), she tried to tell us that we must have left the door unlocked and the door was very safe. Prior to leaving, we triple checked to make sure it was locked. When she arrived, we told her what was missing. She did not ask to look around. I asked if her any of her items (framed artwork, fully furnished house, etc.) but she said immediately that there weren't any of her items missing. everything appeared to be in place- unlike our rooms that were ransacked. It was approximately $3,000 of missing items.
Secondly, The power was on &off the entire stay, until it eventually went off enitrely: wifi, air conditioning, water, and all amenities. We were told to flip the breaker, and we did upwards of 10 times to no avail. When I tried to get ahold of them, I did not get a response back... at all. They did not come over to help us when I requested. We were forced to sleep with no AC, power, wifi, or water. We booked this apartment due to the amenities promised in the listing, but ended up being miserable and frightened for our safety.
Overall, it was horrific experience and seemed like a big scam.
