This apartment is located in Deadwood's beautiful Presidential neighborhood. What used to be the original jail house now is recently remodeled with new carpet, kitchen, and bathroom. This historic structure is located only 5 blocks from Downtown and only a few short blocks from Mt. Moriah cemetery where the infamous Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane are buried.
Thick concrete walls which used to house prisoners is one of the unique features of this property. This is a one bedroom unit that will sleep 6 people comfortably as it has a full size bed along with twin log bunk beds in the bedroom and a queen size sofa sleeper in the living room.
There is a smaller television and DVD player in the bedroom and a larger T.V. with DVD player in living room. There is basic cable and wifi along with a large collection of different genres of movies and as well. Guest may help themselves to anything in the pantry and the refrigerator. Toiletries are also readily available should you have forgotten something.
There are only a handful of times where I have been fortunate enough to meet the wonderful guests that have stayed here. I live a short distance away and do the maintenence myself but really try not to interfere with the guests stay as it has become evident how important privacy can be to some folks.
Please do dirty dishes and dispose of garbage before departure. Also, please strip bed that you use and place dirty linens in hamper located in the bathroom.
