The apartment is in a fourplex so there is a common entryway but other than that the apartment is all yours. There is a large backyard that is shared the other downstairs apartment (also an Airbnb). Everyone else staying in the building is also an Airbnb guest so feel free to mingle, but respect each other's privacy as well. If you have any issues with other guest, please let me know personally so I can investigate the situation.
You will get the door code upon booking, we rotate them often. There is self check-in so you can come and go at your convenience, but I am always available to answer any questions by email, text, or phone.
Upon checkout, you will need to load the dishwasher with any remaining dirty dishes, strip the beds, and gather the towels together. Please make sure all trash is cleaned up and the place is relatively tidy.
Quiet hours are between 10 pm and 7am. Please refrain from excessive noise in the common areas at all times. We take noise complaints very seriously since it can negatively impact all of our other guests' stays. Please also note that the washer and dryer should not be used during this time. Let us know if any other tenants are being too loud and we will try to resolve the issue.
Under any circumstances, smoking is never allowed in the building. Smoking will only be allowed on the front porch, the parking lot, and the back decks. Make sure all debris is entirely extinguished and disposed of in the dumpster or into your own trash can.
We try to leave extra supplies and some small items in the pantry for your convenience. We do take note of these items and ask that you only take a reasonable amount. Please make sure nothing leaves with you.
Do not wash any make-up off with our towels. This is extremely hard to remove.
The building has sensitive plumbing. Please do not dispose anything other than toilet paper in the toilet. This includes baby wipes, make-up removing wipes, sanitary products, and any trash. You will find a small trash can right beside the toilet.
The washer and dryer is open for your use and the use of the other tenants. Please change your laundry in a timely fashion, do not leave wet laundry in machine overnight, and know that we are not responsible for your belongings.
Inform us immediately in the event of any maintenance necessary.
If you use the barbecue in the back yard, make sure the coals are completely extinguished before you go to bed.
If you use any of the sports equipment in the back yard please make sure nothing is left on the lawn and no trash ends up on the lawn.
Other than those rules, we simply ask you treat the space with the same respect you would your own home.

My name is Sydney and I run an Airbnb with my mom Jennifer. Funnily enough, we are both college students living in Anchorage Alaska. I'm studying nursing and my mom is going back to school for physical therapy. My love for travel began as an exchange student in Germany. Since then I've been all over Europe and Central America and hope to continue this trend. We currently manage our old home and rent it nightly during the summer. We always welcome questions about our home city and state. I really couldn't think of a better place to call home!
