Near MAUMERE airport (2.5 km) on a lush piece of land on the seashore. The Room has 2 compartments with each 1 double bed One Western-style bathroom. A semi-private terrace. 2 fans, No AC.

Includes free nice breakfast. Guests may use the outdoor kitchen to prepare coffee/tea (free) or meals. We assist with car/ motorbike / bicycle rental. Free WiFi.

On request, we organize activities. Topics incl: cooking, virgin coconut oil, coffee processing, TRASH HERO, Recycling, traditional weaving (etc.)

On the property (3000 m2) there are 4 other rooms, a small outdoor kitchen, the NGO office and a restaurant where local products are on display. There is plenty of space outside though.

The garden is nice but never seems to be finished :-). Water from the well is a little salty thus, not so easy to grow plants.

We are a social business and try to keep our NGO running with money from the homestay. We have been building all our rooms and facilities step-by-step. The owners Susi and Herman just like to develop new things, So, it's never finished :-)

This is why you will see, as other guests noticed, that sometimes our space looks a bit like a "construction site". However in no way 'construction' should disturb your comfort.

oOur neighbor is a restaurant. Their specialty is grilled fish - you can pick one and they grill it. 200 meter on the east side there is also a restaurant / bar selling food, but they need some time to prepare. Both restaurants like music: the neighbor Indonesian and English Karaoke, the other Reggae.

We 'kind of like' guests coming to stay with us. Especially if for a few nights (if for only one night, there is not much time to socialize). If there is a party (wedding / first communion) or an NGO event (e.g. Trash Hero), we always ask guests to join! And all appreciate this. The Trash hero events are normally on a Sunday, the parties, yeah, we cannot predict :-)
Normally there is plenty of time to discuss whatever the guests' needs are - trips. transport, food, drinks, etc.
