As travelers, we appreciate a comfortable home base and hope to provide the same for you. We are, of course, LGBTQ welcoming. We live on 9 acres in the forest just 2 1/2 miles north of downtown (10 minutes from the beach) and share the property with deer, foxes and birds. This is a quiet getaway for those looking to disconnect from TV and cyberspace. We have very spotty WiFi, but Verizon phones work well.
We are licensed with Mendocino County and our price includes 11% county taxes.
We have a new (9/16) Alexander Signature Hybrid double bed in the first bedroom and a comfortable queen bed in the second bedroom. Both have new down comforters for a toasty sleep, gel-infused memory foam pillows and plantation shades for extended lounging time.
The bookcase in the dining area is filled with games, cards and books with which to fill your evening hours. Have a bowl of popcorn, play and talk!
The back yard is enclosed and completely private, with a table and chairs for drinking your morning coffee on the back porch while admiring the redwoods.
On a clear night, the sky is alight with stars and the ocean can frequently be heard in the near distance.
We make every effort to greet you personally, acquaint you with the house and answer any questions. We are happy to recommend restaurant, entertainment and shopping options as well. We will check in the following day, if you would like, to make certain you are comfortable.
Two of our cats (Jimmy and Chewy) may stop by for a visit; Pinky, our 19 year old, will probably be busy sleeping at our house.
We are on a well and still in a drought, so please conserve water.
Early or late check-ins must be arranged BEFORE booking, please.
Only registered guests are allowed on the property.
Laundry room is not available to guests.
Steve has lived in Fort Bragg for most of his life. Michelle has not. Steve plays music with several bands in the area (trumpet, accordion and pans). Michelle dances Argentine Tango. Steve does not. Our cats just eat and sleep a lot.
