PRIVATE ROOM AND PRIVATE BATH. SHARED KITCHEN, BROOKINGS, OREGON, TRAVELING WORKING, PROFESSIONALS! 30 min to Sutter Coast Hospital in Crescent City, CA and/or Curry health Network in Brookings and Gold Beach, Oregon. We'll be roommates, small home, a beachy guest bedroom with your own private bath. Kitchen and deck have an ocean peek, walking distance to beaches, restaurants and grocery. Views, easy access location to important historic and nature sites, ambiance.

Welcome! Please send me a message if you have questions. We will be room mates. yours will be a cozy guest room and private bathroom. See photos. My small home is close to hiway 101 and with an ocean peek from the kitchen. It has a flat screen TV with an hdmi cord. The private bath has a tub and shower. Soap, terry robes and towels are provided to get you started comfortably. This is 1/2 block off First St. There is private parking and it is a quiet, safe location. I have a small, quiet dog who is friendly, curious. An office room is available for use as an office and for storage. This is a great place if you are exploring the Brookings area for employment or waiting for your apartment to open up. You clean and care for your bedroom in terms of cleaning, laundry-linens and garbage. You are free to use the washer and dryer for your personal laundry and bedding, please provide your own laundry detergent etc.

This is intended to be a quiet, restful area for busy professionals to relax when they're not working. Quiet time 10PM to 7AM Please come and go quietly and keep media on low or on headsets.

THE HEATER

Heat and humidity are an issue in the coastal areas.

The house has a Heat Pump. It is a heater and air conditioner. It heats-cools the whole house and manages the humidity if the doors are left open to your bedroom and bathroom. This is the best way to control the heat and humidity. It will keep your damp towels from getting stinky and keep mold and mildew from developing. Please keep your bedroom and bathroom doors at least half way open to allow for healthy air flow.

Your bedroom and bathroom have wall heaters. They are inefficient, noisy and expensive. One wall heater uses the same amount of energy as the entire heat pump. Please use the wall heater only when you are actively using the rooms and turn them way down down to about 50 when you aren't. The heaters tend to come on at all times of the day and night if the thermostats are not turned down to about 50. If they come on while you are gone I will automatically reach in and turn them down.

This neighborhood is a 5 minute walk to Harris Beach and all of the intersecting trails. It is also walking distance to Fred Meyer Super Market, a number of good restaurants and pubs. Taxi cabs are very affordable in Brookings. There is more flexibility than the calendar suggests so please contact me if you have extended dates.
