My place is close to Silver Lake Ramen, The Thirsty Crow, Cafe Tropical, and Los Globos. You’ll love my place because of the kitchen, the high ceilings, the views, the coziness, and the location. It's good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families w/kids, big groups, and pets.
Hey new friend:
This is a HUGE property (nearly 2500 square feet) on the border of Silverlake, near Echo Park. A 1920s craftsman style home that houses a hip retired couple.
Remodeled in the 1990s (they added a huge kitchen and master bedroom) this house is filled with hardwood floors and a chic, modern look. The kitchen/dining room has a slanted roof, reminiscent of Scandinavian Ski Lodge. There are plants EVERYWHERE!
The back yard is almost double the size of the house and filled with plants and storage from my old bus advertising days. There are tons of chairs and it's a great place to take in some sun.
They have a computer you can use while you're there.
This place is within a 15 minute walk of:
★ Mohawk Bend (lots of Veggie/Vegan options)
★ The original American Apparel store (did I mention it was a hip scene?)
★ Vons (grocery store)
★ Elf Cafe (Vegetarian)
★ LOTS of boutique "hipster" shops (I'm not a fan of that word)
★ Tierra Mia Coffee
★ The Hedgehog (Breakfast place)
★ Echo Park Library
★ Over 5 mexican food places
5-8 more minutes and you're in "downtown" Echo Park:
☆The Echoplex (music venue, dancing)
☆The Time Travel Mart (Wacky items, profits support education)
☆Stories (hip bookstore/cafe)
☆Celaya (AMAZING Mexican bakery owned by a hip crowd)
☆KindCreme (vegan/veggie sweets+eatery)
other hip places.
☆The gorgeous Echo Park Lake (GREAT place to chill, people watch, play frisbee, etc). Definitely search for images of this, you'll fall in love.

I'm Tess. My I have a son and daughter that moved and live in Brooklyn, NY. I've been left to live here in this big house in a hip neighborhood pretty much by myself. But my dog, Forrest, keeps me company. I travel between here and Covina, where I also stay. Sometimes you might not see me. If you DO, Forrest will be with me.
My kid's good friend, Zack, set me up on Airbnb. He had my listings on his account but now taught me how to manage my own account.
Since I don't use the internet very well, Zack handles the technology part of Airbnb. I do all of the cleaning, cooking and hosting myself.
I hope you enjoy and meet you soon!
