The two bedroom 'Tolbooth' is a modern and well-equipped apartment located in a quiet courtyard in the historic Old Town of Edinburgh, only 1 minute walk from the Royal Mile and 5 minutes walk from Waverley train station. The apartment has been fully renovated and comes with free private parking and wireless internet.

A quiet and modern two bedroom apartment on the second floor of a courtyard development on a historical close in Edinburgh's Old Town. The apartment is only a few meters from the famous Royal Mile and 10-15 minutes walk from city centre attractions and many bars, restaurants and shops.

The apartment has underground parking, free wireless internet and central heating.

LOUNGE/KITCHEN
Bright and spacious with large windows overlooking the courtyard. There is a double sofa and two armchairs, plus a dining area for four. There is also a 40" flat screen TV with Freeview channels and a DVD player.

Kitchen is well equipped with a clothes washer and drier, fridge/freezer, oven and cooking stove. There is also a microwave, kettle and toaster. All cutlery, pots and pans and crockery is provided. There is tea and coffee and milk. In the cupboards and the fridge you will find basic cooking items like sauces, salt, pepper, olive oil, rice and pasta.

BATHROOM
Accessed from the hall is the bathroom, where you'll find a bath with shower over, WC and hand basin. Scottish toiletries are provided.

BEDROOMS
The two bedrooms - both with double beds and pocket sprung mattresses - have drawer units and full length mirrors. One bedroom also has large fitted wardrobes where you will find an ironing board and iron. Each bedroom has a hairdryer in the top drawer.

To make it easy and stress free the keys to the apartment can be found in the lock box. You will receive details of how to access the keys approx. 1 week before you arrive. The whole apartment is yours to enjoy during your stay and you are free to come and go as you please.

Please respect the apartment and look after it as if it were your own. Take care not to stain or damage the walls or floors.

Anything that is broken should be replaced before leaving, or paid to be replaced.

Please place all used towels in a pile on the bathroom floor before you check out.

IF THE KEY REMOTE FOR THE CAR PARK IS LOST OR TAKEN AWAY A £50 CHARGE WILL BE TAKEN FROM YOUR SECURITY DEPOSIT.

Caroline responded to texts immediately. The flat is in the perfect location for exploring Edinburgh. We were able to walk just about everywhere. The flat is located in an old part of town but is very modern, comfortable and has everything you may need. We would definitely stay here again. Mary-Ann and Pete. Pleasant Hill, Ca

Carolines place was immaculately clean and could not of been happier w it. Yes, it's on the smaller side but the location outweighed any of that. Once we had our bearings it was easy to get around town, as it's pretty much on the Royal Mile, though a few blocks from the better parts, an easy walk. Would definitely recommend it to others for location, cleanliness, and value. Caroline is easy to communicate w/, always getting a quick response no matter how silly our questions were.

This place was great for our needs - close to everything we wanted to see and to buses that we could take to other sights. The hostess sent plenty of helpful info in advance so check-in was a breeze. We were pleasantly surprised to find the kitchen well stocked with instant coffee and cocoa, jams, and other basic necessities. Beds were very firm, pillows were comfortable. One small thing for other travelers to know: bit of a cigarette smoke smell would occasionally drift in through the windows from the street below - we had them open because the weather was nice. Not too bothersome, but something to note if you're very sensitive to that. Some street noise was audible too, since it's an active area. The location is truly amazing for the price - on the Royal Mile on a small tucked-away street. The nearest pubs were by far our favorites we visited. And the unit itself was very quiet - no noise from the neighbors.

The location mere steps from the Royal Mile can't be beat, plus it's very close to great coffee shops, the train station, bus lines, and the taxi stand. Convenient, clean, and well appointed, it made for the perfect spot for our recent holiday. A very straightforward, modern apartment that is sure to get the job done. A solid value as well.

Caroline's place was perfect for the four of us. We spent most of our day at the Fringe Festival, but could easily walk home to drop off packages or grab a jacket and be right back out there. We did a little laundry, the bathroom/shower were great!

Caroline's place is wonderful! Centrally located on the Royal Mile and all the sites, very comfortable and clean, and with loads of amenities. Caroline was very responsive and a wonderful host.
