Our home is close to the town center, beaches, restaurants, local farm stands and winery. You’ll love our place because of the two cozy bedrooms upstairs & large living room downstairs. Our large, beautiful property is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with kids). We are flexible when it comes to check-in and offer the use of our in-ground pool as part of your package. There is no kitchen, but we have an outdoor grill and private terrace at your disposal.
The living room is rich in art and history of the 1800's whaling era, the heritage of the Snow family. There is a wonderful view of the Sakonnet River with spectacular sunsets, sparkling sunlight on the river and moon-scapes to delight in year 'round. This room is large, but cozy, has internet access, board games and plenty of books to read.
All guests will have access to two upstairs, light filled, small bedrooms and bath. Their living room is large and fits four adults comfortably. There is no kitchen access; however, in a corner of the living room, there is a small fridge, microwave and Keurig coffee maker w condiments. Cold breakfast items i.e. cereal, granola bars, OJ, Coffee, tea, milk & 1/2&1/2 are supplied along with a large cooler and big bag of ice. There is a shaded terrace w shared outdoor grill nestled under the red-leaf maple from which a perennial garden path leads directly to the kidney shaped in-ground pool. The surrounding grounds are lush and inviting for a walk about.
One of us will be available for check-ins between 1-3pm, but are flexible if you have a different timeline. We are happy to guide our people to the local dining, art and culture of the area and interact whenever we can. We enjoy conversation and socializing.
Local beach access 10 minutes by car; $15/day; $20/weekends per carload.
Carolyn's Sakonnet Vineyard is 1/2 mile north on route 77 and they have lovely wine tastings daily, food and entertainment on the weekends.
We are artists participating in the South Coast Artists Open Studio Tours July 15-16; August 19-20. Our art studio is located on the property and is open to the public 11-5 both weekends, both days. This is our 6th year on the tour and we welcome returning patrons who come to this area specifically for these art-rich weekends. The Studio is set back and does not interfere with the Airbnb flow.
If using the pool, all children need supervision, no matter the age.
We have no kitchen facilities, but share our outdoor gas grill and have grilling/cooking utensils, pans & a large cooler w ice to accommodate your cooking needs. We also have a small fridge, microwave and Keurig coffee maker w all the condiments conveniently located in the corner of the living room and supply a cold breakfast w granola bars, cereal, milk & OJ and half 'n half.
