The main bedroom includes a superking-size (6'3) double bed (which converts to twins, if preferred); the other has one single bed (6'3) plus a single 'high sleeper' bunk-style bed (6') which children love! Free and unlimited Superfast Fibre Broadband is provided. Bed linen, towels, bin liners, dishwasher & washing machine tablets, kitchen towel, toilet rolls, washing-up liquid, soap, shaver point and many extra toiletries are all supplied free of charge. Coal, kindling and logs are also included. Outside, by arrangement, there's secure storage for bikes, barbecue, table and garden chairs.
The entire cottage is available to guests for the duration of the stay.
We welcome you on arrival with the keys and a quick tour of the premises, to show you how to use all the appliances. We're also happy to offer recommendations for what to see and do in the area, where to eat and so on. We live close by, so further queries can be resolved promptly.
We have another property (Whistle Stop) just 4 miles away (at Redesmouth), so if this cottage is booked on your preferred dates, please also check out: airbnb.co.uk/rooms/19516287
Please note that, whilst we are dog-friendly, we do not allow pets to sleep on furniture, on beds or in the bedrooms, for the comfort and benefit of other guests who do not bring pets with them or may have allergies. There is ample space in the lounge or conservatory for a pet to sleep on their own bedding, or on the supplied mat. Thank you for respecting this house rule.

Hello! These days, I'm a self-employed business consultant but, some years ago, I had the pleasure of working for both the Northumberland Tourist Board and Northumberland National Park. That means I've helped many people get to know this amazing county. I'm always happy to advise on how to get the most from your time here on holiday, with tips on finding all the best attractions, routes, travel times, opening hours and facilities. I love sharing my knowledge of the North East's most stunning 'hidden gem' and, with so much to explore and enjoy, I can guarantee you'll soon be planning a return trip! I look forward to welcoming you to Northumberland and hope you'll enjoy staying in one of my two country cottages (The Old Schoolhouse & Whistle Stop).
