Close to the beach, gorgeous river walks, the
Grahamstown National Arts Festival, Port Alfred, Diaz Cross, Bathurst, swimming at Blue Flag beaches, great fishing, renowned fauna, and malaria free game reserves .Relaxed atmosphere that comes with an original old seaside cottage. Its rustic but cosy, and nestled in one of the oldest and most secure streets in the village. Good for couples, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets).
This is not a designer villa, but a well worn and well loved family "hidey hole". Several generations of the family are responsible for the little additions that make the space so quaint, as well as the oddities that make it unique (what's the fridge doing in the main bathroom you might ask !)
Guests can access all parts of the property except the geriatric garage and the housekeeping storeroom
I am not always available to interact and support guests throughout their stay, but we are fortunate to have both our housekeeper and an ad hoc custodian living close by. Also to hand are familiar technicians and service providers to attend to any technical hiccoughs..
Heaps of books, board games, and a canoe are part of the deal when you stay at Milkwood Cottage. An outdoor shower helps to cool you down in summer and get rid of the worst of the sand when you and your pets come in from the beach.
