The Mill House is a beautiful village house with great views across farmland.
The house sits right on the route of the famous Crab and Winkle Way, and is only 5 minutes drive from Canterbury, a city with two World Heritage sites, and 10 minutes from Whitstable on the North Kent coast.
London is under an hour away on the train from Canterbury West, and the European mainland is accessible by tunnel or ferry from Dover and Folkestone which are 30 minutes away.
The kitchen/family room is at the heart of the house and there is also a large living room to relax in plus a games room with pool table for the kids. The master bedroom has an ensuite shower room, whilst other guests share a family bathroom and downstairs loo. The kitchen has a large fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher, double oven with convection hob. Attached to the kitchen is a utility room with drying racks and washing machine and a north facing larder. There is also a wine fridge and a drinks fridge.
Guests have access to the whole house and garden apart from the garden office space which we use to store personal items. There will be access to wardrobe and drawer space in every bedroom. There will also be access to a safe so that you can keep passports and valuables securely whist you are staying here.
We will not be in the country during your stay but we are available on the phone at any time and would be able to deal with any requests or issues.
A full list of amenities within the house is available on application. The garden is spacious and set to three sides of the house. There is a "football/soccer pitch" with two large goals, a tree house with slide, a 12ft trampoline, outside table tennis, a hammock, two patio seating areas, charcoal BBQ, cricket stumps, and a swingball set. There are also five bikes available to use. If they don't quite suit you, then there is a cycle hire shop in Canterbury.
There is also a travel cot available for use.
The space would best suit a family and all we would ask is that you treat our home with the respect you would show your own home. Loud music or noise at night would not be welcome by our near neighbours.
Your pets are welcome in the house. We have two cats that will be living in the house whilst you are there. They are happy to come and go through the catflap but we would like you to feed them twice a day and will leave food for them accordingly. If you want to restrict them to the kitchen this is easily done.
If you are using the house as a base and will be away from the house overnight whilst you are here just let us know in advance and we will arrange for them to be fed.
