We (Marie and Éliane) live in a loft in an old industrial building on the Plateau. Industrial means that we have 2 full walls of thin windows and the rest is brick walls. We are are on Saint-Laurent, between the Parc Lafontaine and the Mont Royal. The legendary hebraic Montreal Smoked Meat restaurant is a few corners down the street. Festivals either happen on our street, or a 15 min. walk away from the appartment. We are both creative, so we might be working on projects during your stay.
We (Marie and Éliane) live in a huge, beautiful and bright space in an old industrial building on the Plateau. Industrial means that we have 2 full walls of thin windows and the rest is brick walls. Individual rooms have been buit with wood as well. We are on Saint-Laurent, one of the main streets in Montreal, right between the Parc Lafontaine and le Mont Royal. The location couldn't be more ideal, we are max 15 min. away from most points of interest.
You'll have access to the central room, including a kitchen space and a living room space, as well as one of the closed rooms.
You'll live with us, and we have a rather convivial lifestyle you are very welcome to join. We eat a lot together, and also use the space for different artistic projects. Of course, we want you to feel totally free to retire in your room to have some time for yourself. You may want to know, tho, that the rooms are not isolated when it comes to sound. We'll be very happy to advise you in your discovery of the city.
It would be appreciated that you make sure to stay quiet, at night, as the rooms aren't soundproof. It would also be good to communicate on party/waking up early intentions, in order to avoid tensions (we still are roommates!).
Do not smoke inside the appartment - you can smoke in the stair case. Respect your roommates when it comes to noise.

Marie and Éliane like zines, photography, illustration, cutting each other's hair, feminism, queer people, cooking, singing in karaokes, dancing. We both speak English and French, Marie speaks a decent Spanish and Éliane a decent German. We are 2 pretty active Montrealers that like their city a lot.
