Our home is a perfect union of old and new. The main floor has an open floor plan and tall ceilings, with a large kitchen and living room. Tucked in the backyard is a beautiful private garden. Unwind after a long day of sightseeing on the deck, or enjoy smores around the fire. The living room has a large, comfy sectional, a flatscreen tv and gas fireplace - perfect for a cozy night in.
The 124 year old house is full of books, original art, artifacts, specimens and a few weird props here and there that I've collected or made over the years, giving it a natural history museum cabinet-of-curiosity vibe. It has some creaks and cracks but lots of history and character and it makes me happy every time I walk through the door!
Guests will have access to the entire house and backyard. The main floor features an open floor plan with living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, and a bedroom. Upstairs is the larger bedroom and office area.
I will meet guests upon arrival then leave them to enjoy the space to themselves. There may be a chance that I'll need to swing by at some point, but that would be during the day and with plenty of notice. I will be available at all times by phone and close by if I'm needed.
There is a dog and cat living on the premises but the dog will be gone during your stay. The cat comes and goes as she pleases and is pretty shy, in fact, you may not see her at all. Please note, neither pets are allowed in the bedrooms.
This is a quiet, family friendly neighborhood. We ask that you respect our neighbors by wrapping up your outdoor activities by 10:00. If you crave more nightlife, you'll find many late night options just two blocks away!
Please note, there is absolutely no smoking in the house or on the property. Also, no candles!!!
I'm a prop stylist and set designer, and my home reflects my love of collecting and travel. I lived in San Francisco for 12 years, and NYC for 7, but as a 6th generation Oregonian, I'm glad to be back in my home state. My travels have taken me to the Middle East, China and Europe, but lately, I've enjoyed exploring closer to home.
