Tibbetts Coop is located on a double cul-de-sac, where you will feel like you are in the country when you are really in beautiful inner SE Portland. Bring your walking shoes so you can walk through the neighborhood to SE Division to find coffee shops, cart pods, tap houses, cafes, restaurants and bars to suit everyone or stay at the coop to relax under a tree or on the deck. We are on main bus routes (#75, #9 & #4 - check Trimet) minutes from downtown by public transit and car.
The space is a compacted 380 sq ft brand new separate small house with full amenities. It's secluded and though small it is comfortably appointed. It has radiant heat during the winter and the bedroom & living room have ceiling fans. The building was built with foam insulation and is very tight and the temperature is well regulated. In normal conditions, no air conditioning is needed, but with climate change we have more than our fair share of very hot weather. To ensure you are comfortable during our excessive heat waves, there is a small air conditioner that cools the whole place.
The coop is on the southern side of our property with a private entrace, large yard, deck and sitting areas. We have a massive garden and our guests are welcome to its bounty.
We are as hands on or off as our guests require. We respect privacy but do enjoy the company of our guests and have had some great conversations over a meal or two. Ellis and I love Portland and can help you navigate your trip to get the most out of your time here.
If you are a traveling family, we have a pack & play, high chair and car seat.

Originating in the Bay Area, we now live in Portland and don't look back! We love our urban farm and our close-knit neighborhood. We enjoy sharing company with friends and family and all that the Portland-metro area has to offer. It's a good life!
