The location is spectacular. Easy access from the airport via Alilaguna linea arancio (orange line). Also, an easy water taxi to the train station. Check-in/out was also simple. The apartment was clean. The en suite bathrooms accommodate multiple guests. There is not a living room area or comfortable furniture, but the kitchen worked just fine for five people. Remember to bring shampoo/soap. The beds are of average comfort but fine for a few nights. Unfortunately, both nights we stayed the building alarm across the street went off starting at 2am. I called the police the first night--after contacting Bertoli--and they came out and silenced the alarm. The second night, the same thing occurred, but the police were unable to silence the alarm and it blared for an hour or so. Again, this was out of Bertoli's control, but it's something you should know. Again, the location is exactly where you want to be--close to Rialto Bridge, St. Mark's, shops, restaurants, etc.
The location is the best part of this apartment: right in between St. Marco's square and the bridge. The rooms are large and everyone has their own bathroom with a shower. There is no living room, so we gathered in the small kitchen in the evenings. Make sure to bring water, soap, etc. because there is nothing in the apartment except a roll of toilet paper to start you off.
This place is OK. We had some minor problems with things that were broken, dirty/sticky floors, the door was open when we walked in, giving us a sense of insecurity right off the bat, and there were definitely bugs in the beds. None of these things are deal breakers by themselves, but for us, the sum of them all made for a slightly less satisfying experience than we were hoping for. This is a property maintained by a company, not an individual and as such the lack of warmth is palpable when you get it. This could work better for large groups that are looking for a hotel-like experience with some common areas (kitchen and hallway), but if you're looking for a family-oriented, cozy airbnb experience like we were, it might not be the place for you.
Location is excellent. Right in the heart of Venice and a short stroll to both Saint Marks and the Rialto bridge. Host were lovely, check in and check out was smooth. The only thing to keep in mind was we had to run out to buy shampoo, conditioner, soap and dish soap for our water glasses/coffee etc.
Can't do better on location (halfway between the Rialto Bridge and St Marks Basilica); has a quiet vibe, good sized bedrooms. Generally modern apartment. Our issues were a) the lack of any sitting area/living room, as all rooms but one are bedrooms only (not great if you're walking all day like we were, but that might not matter to some folks); b) the beds and bedding were well below what I would have expected for a high end apartment at a premium price, leaving us all with bad night's sleep; and c) the wifi was very spotty, if that matters to you. Bertoli was very responsive to all of our questions, and check in was a breeze.
