Come to Lisbon and stay in a place with History.
This cozy apartment is a part of the Narrowest Building in Lisbon.
It's dated from 1901, with all the commodities of the XXI Century, it has been renewed recently and it's located between all the best Lisbon points of interest.
The street has river and city view and you can always open your blinds and see them through your windows.
It's a very quiet neighborhood full of Portuguese Culture, Architecture and History.
When we look to the building we find ourselves thinking "Well...that it's just another facade of a demolished building...because where is the rest of it?".
Well, it's no needed as this amazing building it's a great example of typical architecture from a time when people didn't need much to live.
By the time this building was built, the concept of "house" was very different from the one we have today. By that time, 4 or 5 families lived in the same house and commodities such has a bathroom didn't have a place inside the walls, so the point was to build up and not to the sides. The corridors were very narrow to avoid mayhem with so many people around, also they were very dark to avoid the high temperatures on the city of the Seven Hills, Lisbon.
Today this Studio has been renewed and thought to the tiniest detail. We can enjoy it with all our XXI demands and leave the facade and physical space as a frame to remember us from its past.
I will be available 24 hours a day if you need anything.
*Please notice that the Studio is part of an old building and near the riverside, during the Winter time the humidity is high.
**The bed design slide may be a bit stiff, when pulling it to assure that it doesn't move itself during sleep time.
**For the last few weeks there are a few buildings under maintenance and so the house is getting an unusual amount of dust.
*** A fee of 20 Euros will be applied onsite if the Guests arrive 30 minutes after the previously arranged check in time.
**** The Studio is very small since is located in the Narrowest Building of Lisbon.
