Built in the late 1800's this is the home of Markos the wooden boat builder. Years ago, the house served as his workshop where he built fishing boats inside what is now the living room, and it later became his family home. He is the only remaining boat builder on the island, who began his craft at the age of 11, down in the port of Armeni just below Oia, and continues to work on the island today.

Ideal location on a quite street, among traditional architecture and many dining options. "Sideras" is an area in Oia where you will be able to spot untouched by time, captains houses and their beautiful colors. We are also extremely closes to everything but set away from the daily crowds.

Manolis and I met here in Oia, 9 years ago when I traveled around the world to experience life in Greece. Memorized by photos of this tiny place in the middle of the Aegean and eager to learn how people were living outside of America. Who knew we would end up sharing our world with you all?

I grew up in Santa Cruz, California while Manolis grew up in right here in Oia, in the boat builders house actually! Who better to give advice on what to do in Santorini than the local boy and the tourist who never left?

We just love Airbnb, and exploring new places is another one of our passions. Having spent years using the sites accommodation exclusively when possible we racked up lot of experience before we even began to host. We share a passion for the sun and sea. We love music, fishing, eating/cooking, getting crafty, dancing and just being outdoors, especially with our dog child Patron.
