An old olive press converted into self-catering cottages surrounded by beautiful gardens and a lovely swimming pool, Casa Lucia has always had a magical quality of calm and ancient knowledge, peace and tolerance.
Original traditional details such as the claytile roof, high cross-beamed ceilings, "marble" surrounded windows have been kept and enhanced. The Yellow is the largest and one of the most attractive of our cottages, airy, spacious, open plan with a mezzanine floor as the second bedroom: a lovely garden area with vine shaded pergola, plenty of seating outside, with fully equipped kitchen and dining area indoors. Downstairs the double bed is in a curtained alcove; and there is plenty of living space with comfortable armchairs and sofa bed.
There are large lawn areas in the gardens which are for all to enjoy, as well as features such as the swimming pool and the labyrinth, the Estia activity centre with music and games rooms, for adults and children. There is a BBQ area with dining area which can be used by arrangement by larger groups. At the same time each cottage has its own designated garden area for privacy.
I live on the property and am available in reception for help with reservations, information, and any problems that may arise.
We offer a wide variety of workshops in which our guests may take part if they wish, but they will not be bothered by them if they prefer to do their own thing. We also have regular classes in ensomatics, yoga and tai ch'i which people can join in or watch. Appointments can be made with qualified practitioners in reflexology, aromatherapy, Indian head massage, sports massage, nutrition advice, Tibetan singing bowls therapy and beauty treatments.
We ask people to smoke outdoors only and to be careful when extinguishing cigarettes and naked flames. Other than that we have few rules: we expect our guests to enjoy their stay here, sampling what we have to offer, respecting the peace and beauty of the place.
