A bright and sunny private room on the top floor of flat. The room is furnished with plenty of storage for clothing, luggage and other SF souvenirs you collect during your stay. We are only 1/2 a block to the hip and happenin' heart of Golden Gate Park; Just a 5-7 min walk to the De Young Museum, Japanese Tea Garden, and Academy of Science. A 10-15 mins walk to Sharon Meadows, Hippie Hill, Haight Ashbury, UCSF hospital
Your own large and private room is on the 3rd floor of a modern and beautiful Edwardian San Francisco home. It's a very quiet and bright room facing east. With a brand new plush medium firm pillow top mattress and organic bamboo memory foam pillows, you'll have a restful sleep each night.
The room has access to a large and quiet deck where you can practice your daily asana with the sunrise or enjoy a warm drink in the evening.
You have your own 40" flat screen equipped with basic cable set-up, but why would you need that when you have all the SF entertainment you need outside?
Your bathroom is mostly your own, however it does serve as the guest bathroom when I have company over.
Our home is located smack dab in the middle of the Inner Sunset. With an array of delicious restaurants and stores, coffee shops and grocery stores, you'll find everything you need just a few blocks in any direction. Half a block to the Sunday Farmer's Market and one block to a main artery into Golden Gate Park. From there you can reach the Conservatory of Flowers, Academy of Science and the DeYoung Art Museum, Japanese Tea Garden, San Francisco Botanical Gardens in only a 15 minute walk.
Or, go West (too far to walk - take a street car) and you will hit Ocean Beach, the Cliff House and Land's End, the best hiking area in the city. Go south from here to Mount Sutro and Twin Peaks. Or if you have the stamina, bike through the park to the Presidio and then, the Marina, about 3-4 miles north.
East of the house is a 15 minute walk to the Haight-Ashbury district, the trendy and the family-friendly Carl & Cole area.
We, like many of San Francisco's Airbnb listings are located in a residential neighborhood. If you prefer to be in the middle of thriving night life and top tourist attractions, your best bet is to book a hotel in Fisherman's Wharf or Union Square. Please consult the map below, to determine whether it will suit your needs.
My home is not set up to accommodate children. By no means are we kid-safe/child proof nor do we really enjoy the heart melting/ear-piercing sounds of innocent laughter. Please don't ask. :)
None. I do it all myself, and pass the savings on to you. Please leave everything in the same condition as you found it
My family and I are offering what we believe is an exceptional value for our home and hospitality. We want you to be as comfortable with us as we are with you, so please ensure your profile, photo, and messages are detailed and reflective of who we will be inviting into our home. Our decisions will be based off such criteria.
Some guiding questions:
-Who are you?
-Where are you from?
-What exciting plans do you have while visiting SF?
Thanks for understanding.
Guest access – You’ll have a key to come and go as you please. There is a 25 step flight of stairs to the 3rd floor.
We are available for directions, advice and suggestions. I can be reached by cell phone if necessary.
We are low key 3 person family. I am semi-retired, my partner works for public utility. My son attends local college (busy, but can assist when around). You are sure to find everything you need to really get to know and enjoy San Francisco from here.
-There are other tenants in the building that will notice any loud noise or the like before we do. We request for quiet hours between 10:00 p.m and 6:00am.
-We apologize that the kitchen is not available to our guests. With all the amazing restaurants at our doorstep, we're sure you'll enjoy indulging your appetite among them.
-Again, be reminded smoking is strictly prohibited. (420 goers, you'll find plenty of space and company just down the street in the park)
-Please turn off lights and close/lock all doors upon leaving.
- Guests may not bring visitors to our home. Only those individuals who are registered guests may enter the premises.
- Please limit showers to 5 minutes. California desperately needs everyone's cooperation to conserve water!
*No cleaning fee! Why? Because we clean it ourselves. Socks, slippers, soft indoor "house shoes", or bare feet are all good with us. Please remove your shoes before coming inside.
