Our cozy cabin is located on our family's 150+ acre working cattle farm in a peaceful valley, in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. We are only 25 minutes from the city of Asheville. Guests will be able to see peaceful pastures, cattle, streams, wooded trails, mountain vistas, and wildlife. We feel blessed to live here!
Our cozy cabin is 404 square feet and has a screened-in porch. Our cabin can accommodate a small family of 2 adults and 2 small children, ages 0-12, or 3 adults. Our private cabin is situated on a portion of our farm with acres of wooded, private walking trails. There are beautiful, scenic mountain views, wildlife, a lovely stream, and lots of opportunities for sunrise and star-gazing. There is an outdoor charcoal grill (charcoal and grilling utensils provided) and a fire pit (wood provided). Upon request, we will provide you with a complimentary pound of our delicious ground beef which is USDA inspected and hand-raised on our farm. You may get the opportunity to witness a mother cow giving birth in our pastures!
We have marked trails of wooded paths to explore on our farm property (maps will be provided).
Since this is a working farm, we will be available to answer questions that you may have. We also can communicate with each other via text on the farm if you have Verizon or U.S. Cellular cell phone service. We look forward to greeting you when you arrive!
The driveway to the cabin is a single-lane gravel road. The road is shared by other vehicles as well as cattle! You do not need a 4-wheel drive vehicle. Cell phone service is limited ( Verizon and U.S. Cellular seem to work best in limited areas). There is no wi-fi, nor satelite TV. There are 5 steps to get into the cabin.
