Susan has spent her life designing inclusive program for adults and children to connect them with nature. In 2002 she purchase a beautiful parcel of land (aka Camp Earth Connection) adjacent to the Hammond Hill Forest, near Ithaca, NY and created her own children's summer camps to bring children from urban areas and from disenfranchised communities to the country to connect them with nature.
Camp Earth Connection is committed to Diversity, Acceptance and Community. In 2010 she also initiated the first Healing Hearts Women's Retreat on this sacred land. In 2016 Susan opened a small "Natural Campground." The campground is designed to give each guest privacy and the opportunity to experience nature in its wildest setting. A variety of camping options are available.
Camp Earth Connection is an alcohol and drug free facility. Susan wants to give people the opportunity to find peace, solace and comfort in the natural setting here on Hammond Hill.
She hopes you will visit her this season, and is sure you won't be disappointed. Susan is grateful to live in this beautiful space and would like you to experience the peace and tranquility that it brings to her and others who visit. Susan's special co-director is her Brittany Spaniel, Taz. He will be overly pleased to meet you too.
