The exclusive and very large apartment has 3 bedrooms and a media room (private cinema) that can be converted into a 4th bedroom. All in all the apartment fits perfectly for 8 guest, who will enjoy the great space. The beautiful 4 balconies guarantee you a view over the private gardens and the old city of Jerusalem. The interior of the apartment is high-end, and will allow you to enjoy your vacation.
As a guest you have exclusive access to a very large jewish literary library. 'Stairway to Heaven?'
The apartment is located on the second floor, and you have the entire top floor exclusively for yourself.
The ground floor is a kindergarten during the day and closes early in the afternoon. You may occassionally hear the laughter of children playing from below.
The apartment is fully equipped with luxury furniture and all amenities, like cable TV, WiFi Internet, washing machine, dryer, heating, and air conditioning.

The apartment is located on King David Street and at very short walking distance to the old city, the Kotel as well as the city center. All the exclusive shops along the street and many options for dinner are nearby the apartment, in fact all of Jerusalem's favorite restaurants are right there. You should try the nearby King David hotel restaurant and the Sushi at David Citadel Hotelor. Also the Waldorf Astoria is just a few steps from the apartment.
A must is also the walk to the new Mamilla Mall which goes directly to the Jaffa Gate. The shopping mall is Israel's most famous one, characterized by modern sculptures and a sight for itself, of course with a variety of great cafes and restaurants.

A "must-see" in Jerusalem are the grand set of stairs to the Jaffa Gate for some local shops in the Arab Shuk (market), the Christian Quarter, the Armenian Quarter and the Jewish Quarter. Here you can try your best haggling skills on items from judaica to flying carpets.

Let's Get Practical

From the centrally located apartment it is just a 5 minutes walk to the city center. There is also public transportation directly from the Hebrew Union College to areas further north of the city center and the central bus station. However even those areas are within walking distance, along the very nice streets and sites, such as the famous Keren HaYessod Street.

The old city is best reached through the Mamilla Mall to the Jaffa Gate or skirt the outer wall to the Zion Gate for the Tomb of David, The City of David and into the Armenian Quarter.

All bank branches offer ATMs for cash withdrawals in Israel Shekels at the most current rates of exchange. There is even a ATM to the left of the entrance to the Hebrew Union College near the many car rental offices, that offers USD and EUR cash withdrawals.
By the way, the car rental offices are great as well, but check rates for non-Israeli citizens before arriving. The deals are usually better when booking fro the US branches, i.e., Hertz or Budget.

Cabs are available all day and all night passing by on the streets. Point your index finger to the opposite side of the street to hail a cab in Israel. Decide on the rates before you enter or ask them to use the meter.

Additional amenities in the apartment include: Sofabed, coffee maker, washer/dryer, synagogue nearby, bed linen & towels, king beds, pots & pans, full sized fridge, intercom / door phone.

Great location, big house with plenty of privacy for several couples or individuals. Bathrooms and kitchen are a little dated but totally functional. Great contact with the owner and Iris. Thoroughly enjoyed our time.

The apartment is located on the campus of the Hebrew Union College. A huge gated campus. This was not noted in the listing. We rented it over the Passover Holiday. The campus was locked and closed and we were the only people on the entire campus. It was very unsettling and a little creepy. We were not comfortable. We only stayed for one night and then checked into a hotel for the remainder of our stay. The apartment itself was nice enough, great location and very large.

Everything was perfect. Great apartment, great location, great host. We truly had a terrific time.

If it was possible to give this place 10 stars I would have. The location was excellant. Just a few meters away from the King David hotel. Accomodations were luxurious with a full kosher kitchen, large separate dining room from the eat in kitchen, a laundry room, 3 large bedroom suites and a media room that could also be used for sleeping with a guest 2 piece washroom. 4 private balconies with each room of the apartment having access to a balcony. It was wonderful living for 5 days in our dream home with access to all Jerusalem has to offer within walking distance. This apartment is located on a hill away from the street, so is quieter than a Jerusalem street side location where most motel/hotels are located in the heart of Jerusalem. The apartment is luxuriously furnished, with wonderful original Israili art work. Everything was furnished and available that anyone could possibly need, or imagine needing. It was also very clean and tidy. with a tub and shower in each bedroom suite, and 2 piece separate washrooms. Iris and Ronald were very helpful and were available for any questions.

This apartment and location were amazing. It is right next to the Citadel Hotel and the apartment is ideal for a family (we were 3 adults and 5 kids). The bedrooms are large (4 of them) there are 3.5 bathrooms, the den is very large, the balcony has perfect views and the kitchen (eat in) was great. The apartment was very clean and there was a cleaning service that came everyday. Communication with Ron was a 10 out of 10 and Iris (on location) was a gem. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The apartment is very specious with 3 large bedrooms and one office that converts into another bedroom. We loved the 3 balconies that give beautiful vistas to the old city and the large dining room and living room that made our stay very confortable. We were pleasantly surprise with the daily cleaning service provided.
