This fully furnished 3BR/2BA country home/guesthouse, located at the gateway to Mt. St. Helens, is a great place for your whole herd to come spend time together unwinding, relaxing and making memories! The Elk Inn has it all! Come see for yourself! We also offer fishing packages for minimum of 2 people on our bass boat on Silverlake. Captain Steve provides poles, bait, tackle, life jackets & bottled water. The 3-hour trip includes sight-seeing, fishing and FUN! $150 per person. Bring sunscreen!
From the large covered deck out back, you can see snow-covered Mt. St Helens, Elk Meadow and the duck pond. Next-door are the Galloway-Belties, a herd of "Oreo Cows" (as the locals call them). Some mornings, you'll see our herd of elk grazing quietly in the back meadow in the mist. An awe-inspiring sight! The serenity is addictive. But there is also so much to see and do that you'll want to return again and again!
The entire 3BR/2BA guesthouse is what you'll be renting. The house is fully-furnished with comfy beds, all the kitchen gadgets you could ever want, and plenty of towels and linens, soap products and shampoo. All you need to bring is food and you can eat in, or if you'd rather eat out, there are great restaurants within 15 minutes of the Elk Inn.
Steve and Paddy Elkins, your hosts, live on the same property as the Elk Inn, (in the house behind the Inn). If you need ANYTHING, we're close by, and you can call us 24/7 on our cell phones. But if you're craving privacy and serenity, we understand that need and will give you all the space and time you need!
There are many local events and activities, as well as year-long amenities and features that will make your stay here one you will never forget. Our peak season is Memorial Day thru Labor Day, as far as tourist activities goes; but early spring is when you'll see the most elk-sightings (MAR/APR) and fall is, of course, hunting season & harvest time and has it's own beauty.
The Golden Rule covers it all pretty well: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." Life is short. Let's all try to get along... and be honest and kind!
