I grew up in a small town in Sao Paulo state, lived in Rio 14 years of my adult life and 25 years in the US. In 2015 I decided that I was ready for a change and a slower pace of life. After some research I settled in Olinda, PE, Brazil where chance got me into a partnership to start a Bed & Breakfast.
Olinda, which I had not had the pleasure of visiting before, did not disappoint. It has to be, as its name indicates, one of the most beautiful places on Earth! It is also fun and culturally rich (it has made the selective list of UNESCO’s World Heritage Landmarks).
In Olinda, one breathes in art in all of its forms on a daily basis. And Carnaval here never really ends; it simply slows down a bit. I hope you have the opportunity to visit this magical city. If you do, we would love to host you.
