Newly-renovated first floor of two-family house with courtyard in desirable Fox Point section on the East Side of Providence. Set off the street, it's very private and quiet. Walking distance to Brown and RISD, WaterFire, near downtown, shops, restaurants and amenities, and minutes from Highway 95 and 195.
I recently finished renovating and decorating. It's got great warmth, and is filled with items from my travels and things I've collected over the years. It's off the street in the "backhouse" of a two house lot, quiet and peaceful. But steps to everything.
It's a two bedroom and can easily accommodate 6 guests (with living room sofa-bed). Please note that if you're booking for 8 people, it's a very cozy fit!
The entire apartment is yours! You'll get a key to front door (use rear door in kitchen for emergency only, please).
You can reach me or a designated person if you need any assistance during your stay.
Depending on schedule, I can be flexible about check in/out times, but not guaranteed.
Sofa-bed in living room has a thick mattress topper. The two couches are comfy and can be used for sleeping, but they're in same room as sofabed.
Ceiling fans in kitchen, living and family rooms. A/C unit in bedrooms in summer.
Families with small children: I have a pack n play, stroller, high chair and infant tub. There are lots of fragile items, on counters, so it's not great for extended stays with toddlers.
Lastly, two night weekend minimum from mid May through Labor Day can't be waived unless it's within a couple days of night requested.
All guests just be 24 or older, unless children staying with parent or guardian. No pets. No smoking of any kind in the house or anywhere on property. Avoid heels or hard-soled shoes on hardwood floors. There are three other units with full time tenants, kindly be quiet in courtyard when leaving or arriving late at night.
Hi! My name is Valerie. I moved from the Boston area to the East Side of Providence in 2015. I own the two houses on this property, located near Benefit and Wickendon. I rent three units and live part-time in the fourth - the one listed here, which I recently renovated. I've enjoyed getting to know this wonderful city, but also spend much of my time in Boston and NYC. My kids are in college in New England and I'm a freelance nonprofit consultant.
If there's anything I can do to help you enjoy your stay in Providence, please let me know. Happy trails.
