Perched high in the Royal Forest of Dean, with breath-taking views across the Wye Valley & Brecon Beacons, an intimate but spacious Cottage for up to 6 people & their dogs; outside, you'll find a huge, private, decking with Hot Tub & Sauna.
Our Forest Retreat is perfect, year round, for those looking for relaxation, adventure; step or cycle into the forest or to the banks of the Wye for splendid walks, canoeing and a host of other activities and fun (+ some great pubs!).
We want you to relax and enjoy; but we do have 'House Rules'.
In a nutshell, respect our home, leave it as you found it and please note the following...
Please relax and enjoy but it's not a party house, we have neighbours who aren't on holiday, so we ask that you keep noise to a minimum (NB Fireworks can't be used in the area).
The Hot Tub is there for you to enjoy, but we ask that you undertake some simple daily checks to keep it operating properly and avoid risk of infection; guests are asked not to wear fake tan, body creams/oils (which can contaminate the water and cause infection); those who are pregnant or using medication, should consult a doctor before using the tub, and guests must be over 15 years to use the tub.
Dogs, up two of them, are very welcome, but please ensure they are clean and dry and stay off the furniture and beds. Also ensure they have relevant vaccinations, are tick & flea free and are house trained.
Smoking is not permitted in the Cottage.
Stay safe, keep the place secure and follow any guidelines provided e.g. for the sauna, fires, decking & garden.
Our waste flows into a septic tan, which is odour free and very effective, but extra care has to be taken about what is flushed into it e.g. only toilet tissue.
Leave it as you found it - don't worry, we don't expect you to clean the place, we'll do that; but we do ask that you tidy up before you leave.
We hope you agree these are reasonable 'House Rules' and we appreciate your consideration.
Jayne originates from Coventry, Phill from Hereford; we're semi retired. We love the outdoors, and travelling, mostly with our dogs (2 Cocker Spaniels and a Jack Russell) and we always try to stay close to a pub that serves real ale!
