Elegant apartment of 80 sqm, comfortable for 6 people, with two bedrooms and a balcony on the second floor of a newly built complex in the tourist harbour of Marina di Ravenna, a few minutes away from beaches and restaurants, with private parking area and swimming pool.


The apartment is ideal for families and groups of friends and consists of:
-a beautiful living room with sofa bed, TV and dining table;
-a well-equipped kitchenette (dishwasher, microwave, dishes, kettle, coffee maker, toaster);
- a covered balcony with table and 4 chairs overlooking one of the squares of the complex, with partial views over the harbour and the lighthouse.
- two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the second with two single beds, both with wardrobe
- a bathroom with shower.

All rooms are equipped with air conditioning and double-glazed windows.

The apartment also has a basement (ground floor), particularly comfortable as bike depot.
High chair and cot available on request.
Private parking area with remote control.
There is an outdoor pool, open seasonally from June to September, at guests' disposal.
Pets are allowed on request.

In Marinara you can rent both bikes and boats.
A few minutes away there are several services, such as a well-stocked supermarket, several shops, including clothing stores, bars, restaurants, ice cream parlours, hairdresser and other useful services (pharmacy, post office and bank).
You will also have the chance to register for sailing courses to get a nautical license and a variety of sports, including tennis and horse riding.

Guests here can enjoy a discount card (MarinaRaCard) that allows you to get special prices for shops, bars, restaurants, equipped beaches and amusement parks.
An agreement with Punta Marina Terme, only 5 minute’s drive from the apartment, enables you to enjoy the entry ticket at a discount price. Private boat moorings are available in the touristic harbour.

Marina di Ravenna
An area of the southern Lido of Ravenna, Marina di Ravenna is the perfect destination for a family holiday, offering restaurants in which to enjoy the local cuisine, bars and discos along the beach and a nice pine forest along the coast. Sandy beaches are all equipped to offer you a really relaxing experience.
The area is also particularly appreciated by cyclists, due to the presence of well-cared bike paths.
The tourist port in Marinara can accommodate up to 1,500 boats and is very popular among sailing enthusiasts. On either side of the harbour you can walk along the pier, extending for almost a kilometre into the blue water of the Adriatic Sea.

The surroundings
We recommend a visit to the city of Ravenna, which preserves the vestiges of the Roman and Byzantine Empire, today included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The site includes the Byzantine mosaics in the basilicas of San Vitale and Sant'Apollinare in Classe and the mausoleums of Teodorico and Galla Placidia.
The National Museum of Underwater Activities also deserves a visit, as well as the natural water reserve of 'Paguro', a beloved destination for divers and researchers. Piallassa of Baiona and the lagoon of “Parco del Delta del Po” are worth a visit, both by boat or bike.
A short drive from Marina di Ravenna, you can reach some famous resorts of the Adriatic coast, such as Cervia and Milano Marittima and just inland, the Republic of San Marino.
The theme park Mirabilandia is reachable in 20 minutes by car and is ideal for a trip with the whole family.

How to get to Marina di Ravenna
By car:
Highway A14 - exit Ravenna
From Venice: Statale Romea SS309 up to Porto Corsini and then ferry to Marina di Ravenna

By train:
Faenza railway station (40 minutes away) or Ravenna Station (15 minutes away)

Upon arrival, our host was not available to receive us, therefore, we wandered around the apartment complex until someone directed us to the local realty office but unfortunately it was closed on Monday. Much later, following many failed attempts to contact our host, we were fortunate to notice some movement in the realty office. We knocked on the window, and although the person did not speak English she found someone to help us. Unfortunately, the new contact was not able to open the outside door. Finally, when she had rung every doorbell in the complex, a tenant let us in. This meant that the outer door had to be propped open for the remainder of our stay. As this person didn’t speak English, we were left without any information about the apartment, with the exception of a sheet of rules regarding fines for not taking out the trash, not removing soap from the shower, and not having the proper number of linens at the conclusion of our stay. That said, we would have greatly benefited from an orientation including details about how to access the included parking, for example. Most problematic, though, was the fact that we were without electricity for the majority of our stay. This was quite difficult as shortly following our arrival we were without lights, air conditioning and hot water, spending an enormous amount of time on Day 2 with the electrician in the apartment. This was compounded by the host blaming us for using too much electricity as the cause of the outage but we lost power even in the middle of the night with nothing turned on except the air conditioning. Furthermore, at one point the host said that the entire complex was out of power and we needed to wait until noon for the electrician but we had already been out of the apartment and knew that the rest of the building had electricity and the electrician confirmed that the air conditioner was the actual culprit. This information was only acquired when we called an Italian friend in the USA who stayed on the phone for more than 1 hour interpreting for us. Nonetheless, the problem remained unresolved while costing us half the day in Ravenna. Concurrent to the electrician trying to rectify the problem, an alternative apartment was offered. However, it had no air conditioning in the living area, overlooked construction, and was not clean. Sadly, we only learned this after we completely packed everything, including refrigerator perishables which ultimately had to be thrown away as they were spoiled. Regarding location, if we had been able to utilize the pool or nearby beach and still had time to see the mosaics in Ravenna it would have been reasonable, as planned. But as we had no time for anything more one half day in Ravenna, due to our electrical issues, we would have been better accommodated in Ravenna. In total, this was a major disappointment.

Dear Donna, thank you for taking some time to share your opinion. I am very sorry about the inconveniences you experienced, it is true that you went through some problems. First of all, as unfortunately I wasn't able to check you in, I am sorry for all the problems the lack of communication may have caused, that luckily were solved as I came over. As for the problem with the electricity, even though I called an expert to fix this, it was quite difficult to be restored. The main reason could have probably been the usage of too much electricity, as you previously said, but actually another important key factor was the adapter you brought, since it was not suitable for the apartment. This is probably why you had lots of troubles with the electricity. I apologized many times, and I am sorry my apologizes weren't accepted. Just want you to know that this really doesn't reflect my standards of hosting as it had never happened before. Hope this won't stop you from visiting our beautiful country! Regards, Anna
