The Gloucester Lodge is situated at the Lullington entrance to the Estate. This impressive pre 19th Century castellated lodge is a Grade II* listed and of particular special national importance being one of only 4% of buildings in this category.
A picturesque gothic-style building with 3-storey towers to each side of the portcullis latticework wooden gates. The forecourt is surrounded by a semi-circular castellated curtain wall, flanked by machicolated towers forming giant gate piers that envelope the landscaped gardens.
On the ground floor the Lodge has a magnificent Oak paneled living room with gigantic inglenook fireplace, beautifully appointed kitchen, dining room, utility room and a Victorian-style bathroom.
Double doors open onto beautifully landscaped gardens with furniture.
Sleeping up to ten guests, there are two double bedrooms on the ground floor and one twin and one double bedroom on the first floor, along with a luxuriously decorated Victorian-style bathroom.
A further two guests can sleep on the sofa bed located in the lounge.
Guests will have access to the entire lodge.
We will welcome you on arrival and give you the keys to your accommodation. The office at the main house is open from 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday and from 9am - 1pm on Saturday and Sunday.
