Customized Tour to the Gobi in 4WD with an experienced Mongol driver (excellent English). Price is all inclusive for vehicle use, driver, guide, cook & covers fuel, food & accommodation too. The Gobi is a desert so there is some "roughing it"

This trip surpassed our expectations. We wanted to see the natural parts of Mongolia, meet some local people and learn from them. We wanted to appreciate what the country really is. We didn't want to have a very strict itinerary and have specific sights checked off on a list. We really appreciate the organization and planning by Ulana and Munkh. They did their best to show us as much of the AMAZING GOBI as time would allow. Our time was tight but we covered so much ground. Mongolia and even the Gobi desert is so vast and diverse that we feel lucky to have been able to experience so very much in only a few days. If you want to have a trip without stress or over planning on your own part, this is the trip for you. They are reliable, accommodating, always concerned for our safety and interests. This place is just so magical, no other way to describe it. We will come back again, many times we hope. Love the GOBI and the Mongolian people so very very much! Thanks for sharing your very special way of life, mixing modern and traditional life with a strong connection to animals and the land. My advice is not to come here with rigid expectations as life is so unique that it's difficult to compare to anywhere else. Best wishes to future travelers to just relax here and let Mongolia reveal it's magic to you.

This was the most authentic experience any of us have ever had! Munkh, his family, and the nomads we stayed with welcomed us with open arms and I will be back!!

We did not get what we were promised. We wanted a night in a ger in Rustai National Park with the opportunity to do some walking. This experience was weird from the start. Firstly, Ulana doesn't even live in Mongolia, she lives in Manila - that was the first surprise. We were met at UB train station by Munkhy who then took us to his flat for breakfast - we were expecting to head straight off. We then sat around in the flat for 2 hours and had some soup while waiting to go. Then we discovered his wife and baby were coming with us - I felt a little like we were tagging along on a family holiday. Munkhy just never explained or said this was going to happen. Eventually we set off but didn't arrive to Rustai until 4/5pm. We then saw the horses and other animals for a few hours. It was getting dark and then we started heading off into the park to see some tombs. We had dinner in the dark out the back of the jeep. Then we got to the ger camp and after knocking at somebody's ger for 20 minutes Munkhy said there was no ger here for us to stay. At this time it was 11pm - I was thinking we would be either heading back to UB or crashing on somebody's floor. Munkhy hadn't bothered to book a ger for us. We drove to another ger camp and luckily there was a rather basic concrete ger for us to stay in (not what we had in mind but at that point we were grateful!!!!) I've got nothing against Munkhy, he's a nice guy but nothing was explained to us, nothing we wanted or promised was met so I can't really recommend this company to other travellers. We had another Airbnb experience in Mongolia which was absolutely amazing and was actually cheaper than this one. I recommend being completely clear with what you want if you are asking Ulana to organise a tour for you.

Very nice family business. They really make sure you are happy, satisfied and not hungry (plenty of food) during the whole trip! Communication was easy as the guide (Ulana's brother) speaks English. Do not hesitate to ask more questions about the tour as we didn't know that the family was coming along with us this time. We recommend this tour for their authenticity and their knowledge of Mongolia!

First of all, the price shown on the airbnb page is NOT the real price, in reality it is much higher. We booked a five day tour with Ulana and were promised a private tour with an English speaking guide. Our guide Munki was most definitely a very nice guy, but both his English and his will to communicate were very limited. Our first surprise was when Munki drove to pick up another person, which turned out to be his father, our guide. We didn't mind much, but it turned out he didn't speak English either, which in my opinion defeats the purpose of a guide, but did his best to meet out needs. Another communication problem arouse when we drove to Munkis hometown, where his seven year old son begged to be taken along. Instead of discussing the matter with us directly, he sent his son to ask us and we rulactantly agreed, thinking it was obvious that Munki would not take him on a paid tour. In the end he stayed with us for almost three days, demanding attention as children his age do and turning us into his private entertainers, something we werent exactly looking for on our holiday. Except for these issues and some other miscommunications, our trip to Gurvansaikhan National Park was amazing! The landscape there is truly impressive and we drove through it with a pretty solid fourwheel drive. When we decided to change our plans and not spend two days at the Naadam festival, although it was a struggle to make our guide understand, he created a new program for us stat, which we were very thankful for. Additionaly he helped us with some train ticket issues - which would have caused us massive problems otherwise. Before you go on this trip, do your research and tell the crew exactly what you want, otherwise you will be disappointed. Wait with your booking until Ulana has sent you her 'special offer' or otherwise you risk losing money in the depths of airbnb.

There were some specific things I wanted to see on the Gobi and time was critical for me, only having a few days available to me. Ulana responded quickly to my queries and did well to tailor a tour itinerary for me that took in those items I wanted to see. Munkhy, my friendly guide, spoke excellent English with a slight New Zealand accent. He made the trip so relaxing for me, cooking interesting meals when we were eating out - and on the Gobi, eating out means eating 200 kilometres from any restaurant. He was cooking traditional Mongolian meals on an open fire but at the same time remained conscious of my Australian tastes. I can recommend his khorhog! The vehicle we used was well maintained and safety was always a primary thought for Munkhy. I can thoroughly recommend touring with Ulana and her team, they made sure everything was perfect with me. I am already planning a return trip to search for the lost grave of Genghis Khan with them!

Welcome to the land of Chinggis Khaan (Genghis Khan)! My name is Ulana and I was born in the Gobi desert, Mongolia, a member of the Khalka tribe (the same tribe as Chinggis). I have lived in big cities such as Kuala Lumpur, Sydney, Singapore, Manila and of course Ulaanbaatar! :-)

My brother Munkh educated in New Zealand and spent number of years there.

We both love Mongolia and we want everyone to see the Mongolia that we love. You all deserve to travel to Mongolia at an affordable price!

I've worked in the tourism industry for more than 15 years. And I do know how to deliver great service! I've also been to about 40 different countries including exotic islands like Hawaii and Comoros (Africa) - as I Mongol I am still fascinated by the sea.

Traveling is our passion! Travelling and meeting with new people.

Ulaanbaatar and Mongolia is more than just a name on many people's bucket-list of places people want to see. Mongolia is the home of nomads, camels, deserts and mountains, steppes and pine and birch forests. Mongolia is a land of extremes, freezing winters and hot summers.

Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any queries!
